So I have this intercooler that I got from a buddy. He doesn't know what car its from but its probably European. It's a Valeo, which is an OEM intercooler manufacturer.
Here are some pics. Its 25"x7.5"x1.75. I know its not as good as the others (ie. Ion, spool) but it might save me money if all I needed was custom pipes.

Just make your own stuff. I always order intake pipe and rubber connectors from Air flow online. The rubber connectors come in different sizes and are available in 45 degree and 90 degree. I would go with 2.5 inch pipe, just make sure you order the intake piping and not exhuast pipe.

it looks really small and thin. im not sure that would be worth routing the pipes for.. it may be less efficent than the stock one. If you are going for a front mount your pressure drop might not be worth the extra cooling. I also hear a lot of stock intercoolers arent effient, it has to do with the way the air flows through them(cant remember what it is called).

I am by far no expert on this, so dont listen to my comments :D

but I am just assuming from what i have heard

Thanks for the suggestions, I think i'm going to try and sell it. It was free so its all good either way. Not too sure how much i'll get for it but i'll definately be putting it towards one of the two companies, I'm guessing essential speeds kit isn't a good choice then. They're really close to home.
Thanks again for the advice guys.
