i had every thing removed except for the first cat, so it just free flow to the exhaust muffler that i had put on. my question is he used the stock size pipe and did crush bends is that really going to effect my power

it might...im not sure what crush bends are but if your talking about just bending the pipe to the where diameter of the pipe at the bend is significantly shorter than the straight pipe...i would have to say yes.

Does he not have a mandrel bender? To get the most out of the exhaust, you want the fewest bends and lowest degree of bends as possible. And you want them mandrel'd.

hey b-ron, i live in California too, and i went to 3 muffler shops, none of them would remove my 2nd cat they all gave me s*** for it. So I was forced to buy a testpipe. How did you egt so lucky????

I have the 2 resonators and muffler removed. You mentioned you put an aftermarket muffler on the end right? any pics at all? I have not received my testpipe in the mail yet but with the 3 things rmeoved its already pretty grumbly... sounds very loud on first startup and drive in the morning when the car is cold.

Yeah, where'd you get it done at? Most places in CA won't let you remove the cats. I was just in Morgan Hill last night too at my cousins. I live in San Jose and also have BM MS3.

You should of told the shop to just weld in a straight pipe where the resonators and muffler was instead of replacing the whole thing.That is what I did so I could keep the stock mandrel bends in place.If you have bends in the pipe that are around 90 degrees its going to effect your flow because using crush bends on corners makes a 2.5" pipe less then 2" in the bends..

a place called A-1 in morgan hill hes a really cool guy. he gave me the line you know thats not legal and i said yea and he said ok lol.

i got the muffler from a friend for like ten bucks,the only part that kinda sucks about the install was that the muffler is angled and pointed down a little bit that was the only way to make it fit
