i want to get an Injen CAI but as you can see in the picture, the cold air set up would be for intake to go through where my FM intercooler piping is...

i did not install the piping, and i have no idea what kind it is, and suggestions on how to make a CAI work w/ this setup ? ? ?

i would just leave it as is, there really is no reason to use a cold air intake on a turbo application.

all of the cai setups that i have seen utilize that hole that your intercooler piping is using.

any reason why u want to convert is so badly?

also, i hope your intake filter has a dirty brown color. if not that thing is trashed.

ya its trashed i went to local advanced auto parts and they did not have a air filter that would fit. i was gunna try the filter cleaning kit

and i figured i could get maybe a little better performance out of a CAI yes/no ??

i bought the car with this setup so i dont even know if its the stock intake that is another reason

i would say stick with the sri unless you want to spend the money to reroute your intercooler pipe. not worth it in my opinion.

just get a new filter!!

it's not the stock intake at all. Stock intake comes with the airbox. Unless you are planning to fork over a bit of money to redo your IC pipes, I would leave it as is. Though I believe that you will get better performance with a CAI, it isn't necessary. If you can, get a vented hood and it will do the same thing as a CAI with the placement of your intake.

i didnt think it was stock, thanks for the input, ill think about a hood i need some new rubber first

yall wouldnt know anything about oil leaking from behind timing belt, like from the timing cover possibly???

mine does that, but only a little. I am probably going to invest in a Cometic Head gasket. Try that.

bad head gasket??

i know this is a bad picture i couldnt get my camera at a good angle from my engine bay, i didnt get a chance to take a picture of the oil leaking down the side of my motor behind belt when i had car on the lift
