Look at this compare from Nissan Murano?

YES, mine DOES have that.

I can choose a display of either:

Clock
Time travelled
Range (how many Km left in the tank)
Average speed travelled
Average fuel consumption (L/100km)
Instant fuel consumption (L/100km)

I didn't realize we actually had something over here that you guys don't.(mj)

I noticed that Nissan said we only have 6 speakers also???

I know over here we have 10 including the Subwoofer (band2)

Where does the trip computer data display? On the instrument panel or on the center stack? I'm very curious as to where they implemented it.

Ted

I just went to the Mazda Australian website and it says the price is : 57,000.00 AUD which equals 52,786.70 USD??? Am I understanding this right?

Maybe thats why you guys get a trip computer (wow)

Yes those prices are right. We get ripped off royally here in Australia when it comes to buy cars. I'd happily give up the car computer if I could have bought my CX-9 for the US price!!!!!

It is in the red lit up section at the top of the centre consul (above the centre vents)

I imagine your clock is probably there?

Oddly, my CX-9 GT has no trip computer, but my 3GT which costs half as much does!

There is no comparison between a CX-9 and the Murano at all.

You are correct, that's where the clock is on US spec 9's. Apparently Mazda must think American's are more intrested in clock watching than being able to monitor our fuel economy and other useful information. (huh)

Newsflash. No, we're not. (protest) At least not all of us.

Hey there CX901,
My read out is the same as yours except everything is on opposite sides (right hand drive) and my temperature is in Celsius (not fahrenheit), but the other BIG difference is my fuel consumption average is usually between 12-14L/100km, not 29.7L/100km, I mean to say WHATS going on there?
Do you tow a 4ton boat around everywhere or what?

Now the big question....

Can the US vehicles be updated?

Also, holding the outside temp button for 2 sec. will switch between between Metric and English for temp reading.

Another question:

What button is used to scroll throught the various trip computer variables?

The "Info" button is used to cycle between the various trip computer readouts and the clock.

Whilst I love having the trip computer it annoys me that it displays its information in the same spot as the clock meaning that you can't display the time and the computer info at the same time. Meanwhile, the top display wastes space displaying information about the radio station/CD track etc when it is also displayed on the large LCD. They should have just left the audio system information on the LCD and put a permanent clock on the upper display. Or perhaps put a permanent clock somewhere on the LCD.

I agree 100% with Sydney Guy.

Heres what the Ozzie version looks like............

Howdy Clarko,
That picture was taken less than an hour after I got my CX9 from the dealership... still haven't figured out how to change the temperature unit and my Ave Consumption is still not to be trusted.
now after 4000 kilometers, my ave consumption is anywhere between 14 to 20 L/100 km depending on the traffic conditions of the gigantic parking lot that is the streets of Manila (ugh)

wow ... they re-arrange the display as well depending on whether its a RHD or a LHD ...

At least they didn't switch any of the center display buttons (especially the Power/Vol knob) for RHD. It seems much more ergonomic than the US version. I've got to reach across the dash to turn the radio on.

When you leave the vehicle, in the dark, and the headlights are still on in the auto mode and turn themselves off after the 30 sec delay, the headlight on tone is NOT going off in your car? It has been discussed before it and is pretty universal.

Nope. 08 GT AWD. No chime on exit with auto head lanmps enhabled.

Nissan you sux!!!!

OMG I love Murano. I traded mine 03 SE for CX-9. My wife still looks at each Murano passing by. But it does not mean we are unhappy with CX9. I am not sorry for buying it, I like everything in my CX. But this list is just pissing me off, it is TOTAL BS. How could that post something like that? Will Mazda sue them for this??

I think that link is a bit deceiving, as it's not Edmund's making the comparison--it's Nissan, linked to the Nissan web site. You can also compare it against RDX, Enclave, and RAV 4. Surprise! Murano beats all of them too! Of course Nissan will give an advantage to their vehicle everywhere they can.

and Mazda will do the same as will Honda, subaru, toyota, ford, chevy, etc.

having driven both (although only a couple test-drives in each), the engine in the murano is more refined...also doesnt cost $5k to replace an xfer case.

I wouldnt expect anything different than the responses here as this is a mazda forum but keep in mind, the folks on the other side of things would be making similar arguments about the 'advantages' given to the mazda. Human nature to think what you have is better.

Well....IMO the Mazda motor is more refined. The Murano is a decent vehicle, but it's no comparison to the CX-9. The Murano competes with the CX-7, the CX-9 is a full class above the Murano and has it beat in everyway. In Canada the Murano is way overpriced as well, its $10k more than the CX-7.
