See that little J hook loop thing from the intake? connect it to that.

FORCE.......click on the image..it makes it bigger (2 clicks total)

i have been driving like that for like the past 3 monthes or so
....any chance that having it like this would cause any harm?
when i fix it......most likely 2moro after noon will it will the car act differently?
b/c im accustom to having it the wait it is...any thing i should look for when i re attach it?

WOW! What knucklehead did that?

im not sure if u had seen my other thread
..but the same knucklehead that disconected the BPV is the
same one that cut the piece of splash gaurd off
that covered up the intake in front of the wheel well

iv only had the car 3 monthes and im scared to find more half assed work done to it

whoa...dude I would check that car out head to toe and fix up any half assed mods like that...Venting a BPV to atmosphere...guess someone watched Fast and the Furious and thought they were a tuner...LOL

Damn you really need to cover that (if you haven't already) go to a wrecking yard pull the plastic fender thing off of a stock Protege.
That Injen (I have one) will suck some serious water up there in the rain.
And if you have a bigger turbo at high boost it might suck up a squirrel or something :)
Man I feel for you. Do like the one guy said and go over the car then post any weird looking s*** on here so we can take a look at it.

Venting a BPV to air doesn't really hurt anything. Keeps all that hot air out of the intake for one.

i had to buy the spash guard at the dealer cuz the one on the MSP is different then the ones on base model proteges...and it cost me close to 90 bucks.....also i reconected the BPV and car isnt running as sluggish between gears as before with it disconected

gunna give the car a good looksy to see if anything else needs attention

its nice to have 24 hour tech support here on the forum
