Boost Spool Improvements

So I just did my last bolt on performance mod for a while tonight in the CPE catback. wink.gif I've got the CPE CAI, FMIC, catted DP, CBE and the HKS SSQV. The exhaust is their single exit three piece unit with one resonator and yes, it's loooowwwwwddd! I kind of like it though. I'll probably get the oval muffler option soon though. Anyway so if you're wondering how restrictive the stock exhaust is, check this out.

I get max boost at 2499 rpm. Stock it was 2839. That's pretty significant. I'm calling a tuner tomorrow so hopefully I'll get close to zigger in the very near future. (2thumbs) For those that want to know, I'm going to try Extreme Motorsports in Odenton, MD. I got to spend some time talking to Sean there and felt really good about it.

My car sounds nasty. My wife says, "you won't be sneaking home any time..." My first daily commute will be this morning so we'll see if I can live with it or not. Right now I'm leaning toward keeping it the way it is. Windows down on the highway you can't really hear it. Windows up you can hear it but the radio does a good job of drowning it out. CPE hasn't started selling their one piece oval muffler axle back section but when they do I'm betting there will be a few resonator axle backs for sale. I may go that route.

This stuff is invaluable because I get asked a hundred times a day, "If I install product "X" will my turbo spool faster?" It's one thing to say, "Yes, the turbo will spool faster," but man, now I can actually show people exactly how their spool times change. Great work Jason, and thanks again for sharing!!
 
dada where are you located? I live in whitemarsh and would love to check your car out with all the mods on it.
Give me something to look forward to.
