Cool, thanks. Any day in particular that works best for you?

nah pretty much any day is good just give me a heads up when you wanna do it

and the wheels arent on the car right? i cant rly have cars in the shop but if you bring me just the wheels i can do it

Yeah, just wheels. The tires are pretty messed up--full tread on the outside and corded on the inside. Looks like he was running some crazy toe settings or something and used them to drive to the track (or maybe daily???).

Should I just paint them with the crappy tires on there, so you can pull them off and just mount the R's all at once? I don't care too much if the paint-job is perfect or anything.

The obligatory hiney pic; a pic of something that looks very "GACC" but isn't, and a few more car pics... :)

Should I comment on where my hands are at before somebody else does?

Cool. I don't think it should be too much of a PITA. Just 205/50-15s on a 6" wide wheel. Stock is 195/55. They're not 225s or anything crazy--yet. After these wear out, though...

It's not your hands...but where your coconut is...

(boom07)

I was talking about the picture of me driving with my hand all the way across on the other side of the wheel. (eek2)

taking the right out of the start to get to the right of the slalom, on my 3rd run my arms were crossed. That CRX must have the longest steering rack ever put in a car lol

There's a picture or two where I was lock-to-lock crossed over...bad, bad, bad JA...

Yes, paint them now with the crap tires on.

Make sure you DEGREASE them and lightly sand them prior to painting.

Will Simple Green do the trick for the degreasing? I've got some of that around. Steel wool perhaps for light sanding?

No. Generally it would be fine but I would get a true de-greaser and use the steel wool when cleaning and some real high grit sandpaper for the sanding.

Dude - I had it down in the MSP. The Miata's steering is lacking, shall we say, the finesse of the Speed...I fight that wheel so much it's not funny. I need to start a good arm workout routine...
