Mazda anti-corrosion warranty

Does anyone knows how long it is? I'm having a bad spot (huge) of rust on the inside driver's door and I've had my car for just a bit over 3 years...
I can't believe it!

i think it was a 5 year / 100k mile "rust through" warranty - i think it only covers rust through to metal, but i am not 100% sure. if you are really worried, you can take it to your dealer and ask them about it.

I will next Thursday, but over the phone they are already saying it's only 3 years, even if I got an extended waranty (one extra year) and paid 500$ for a so called rust-roof tratment! I will obviously go to other dealers to see what they will say (I have a feeling my trip on Thursday will be useless).
If I'm left on my own to deal with this, it's very likely that this will be my last Mazda, unfortunatly. I just can't believe it! I wash my car weekly, I wax it with 3 coats of the best stuff. I'm ultra careful, I even spay oil in all the sensitive spots before each winter and the thing rusts in just 3 years?? I'm a little depressed about this!

Where is the rust? I to clean the car weekly, garage kept..only recently rust treated it no visible rust yet...so where's this rust your talking about?

edit: I just re-read your thread...forget my question...I do this all the time sorry.

LOL I will post a picture. In the meanwhile I found someone who will fix my door for a very good price. I won't even bother with the stealership anymore (Delisle Mazda). They ripped me off pretty good that I won't even spend gas to go to them anymore.

The guy at body shop was actually surprised when I told him I had an anti-rust. But he wasn't surprised about the rust on the door. He said that it was common on Protegs (rust on the inside door) but it shouldn't happen so soon if rust-treated and well pampered.

me it's under the front fenders.. on the edge of the wheel.. chips of paint have taken off.. i had to use "a method" so it won't happen again.

i got rust under the left wheel well.. where rock and salt hits the most.. again.. i got "a method" and it will never rust again.

My car is bubbling up under the paint in that same general area on all 4 doors.

A week before seeing this thread I found a 1 inch rust spot on the front of my right rear door (hindge side) just beside the rubber door seal on the window guide. I did not think to take a pic before I fixed it.
After seeing this thread I did a closer inspection an found small bubble clusters on the inside of all the doors. :(

The car has been in Miami all its life and has never been exposed to salt so I was shock.

When I call Mazda about the warrenty the lady took my vin # and said I was passed the 3 year. :flip:

I guess I could fight but the thing is though, I have restored enough old cars to know that you cant get rid of the rust 100% without an acid bath and or sand blasting inside and out. They could change all the rusted parts (my doors for eg) but I dont see them doing that.

I need to figure out what I want to do.
