Headers installed!

Well I have the OBX header with the Bosal exhaust from Protegegarage.com. I had problems with it because the end of the header didn't meet with the Catback exhaust. First I just took some of the old piping with a high flow cat made it fit between the header and the exhaust. Then the header kept getting exhaust leak from the header. So I added a flex pipe and that's the setup I have now and I have not had any problems with the exhaust leak.

i just installed my obx header yesterday....its feels great...but my check engine light is on tho....it was on before i put my header....i have a question...does it make a difference if i change the filter of my intake? because i have a generic intake and the check engine light came on when i installed it...but then i mistakenly bought a 1.8 AEM short ram intake. i couldn't install that intake into my 1.6 so i just used the filter of the 1.8.....it runs fine and its been 1-2 months since the check engine light came on. but then a week ago i changed the filter again with my brothers generic univeral supercharger...i took off the filter from the supercharger cause it looked nice and put it on my intake and now the engine check light is back on.....i haven't tried switching it back to the 1.8 filter yet..... i don't know anything about cars...anyways, any suggestions?

i just installed my header

skater05 u have a nice LX...

thanks...i was thinking about cleaning the engine by taking it to the shop and have them steam wash it...but i asked my brother-in-law and he said that this one time he took it to the shop to be clean and his engine died afterward because they didn't block off certain things...like the spark plugs and etc...haha...well, i don't want something like that happening to my car

on the picture, where i circled red...when i installed my header, there was smoke coming out of the header....there were some black stuff in the header when i took it out of the box... i cleaned it all out before installing it....but when i started the engine, there was smoke coming out of that pipe...i don't know what it was..i thought that maybe it wasn't tighten or something but it stopped after i turned my engine off and then turned it back on...i really don't know why that happened...did this happen to anybody else when installing their header?

the car feels fine....there isn't much gain ..only a tiny bit of gain..but. i wasn't expecting much anyways, because my uncle said it would be a waste of money buying something that doesn't give you any gain...haha...i went ahead and bought it anyways....its kool, i don't regret buying it...maybe its the thought that counts...because everytime i drive my car now, knowing that i have the header in, i want to drive it fast...haha....my car doesn't lag as much now since i've installed the header...when i first installed the header, i didn't notice any gain at all but driving it for a few weeks i've notice a tiny bit of gain or (i've notice the difference in gain) ...thats all i have to say about the header
