New wheels

I for one hate the stock rims. They look heavy. I like the one's Swampass has, but some of that is just because they're lighter.

Come to think of it, 'hate' is too strong a word, but they just seem sorta 'blah' to me.
i like the stock rims but there is definitely room for improvement.......if i ever decide not to get rims for this monster, im just gonna see if i can get shiny powder coat black.

Man I dunno. How can you not like the factory MS3 rims? For some reason your new wheels look smaller, like 17's and sparkly? Either way I'm glad you like them and yes.....[/I]
Congrats on a great car.

I like the factory wheels as well...but yours look real nice. Congrats on the wheels! (drive2)

Oddly enough, one of the reasons I got rid of the stock wheels was to NOT look like an MS3. I've also shaved my badges. Eagle eyes will spot the subtle differences but from afar, I just look like a regula' Mazda 3 with different wheels. I should have gone with 17s...and that still isn't off the table yet. I might look for some super light weight 17s in the future.

y wouldnt you get 18's?

MS3 stock wheels? what wheels? :)

I just "retired" my stock wheels and decided to get the RX8 wheels I had in my garage "begging" to be used :) Indeed the RX8 wheels are as heavy as the stock MS3 but they are wider 18x8 with 225x40x18 rubber(Dunlop) vs 18x7, better offset 50 vs 52 which means they stick out a bit more and look awesome!

A drop in the suspension "could be nice" but I am DONE with suspension drops as for SURE this will affect the ride comfort and I am beyond that (my kidneys hated it when I have my track Miata for 7 years! :))

My track "only" wheels are 18x8 (light - combo is 46 lbs) with 235x40x18 (Azenis) and I'll take a pic of them when I track the car.

I was about to buy another set of wheels last week when my wife made me realize I had no space left in the garage for a 4th set! lol lol

Enjoy,
Carlos

The car looks so much more aggressive with the 18 x 8! That's my biggest dislike of the stock wheels... too skinny. I'd rather have 17 x 8.5 instead of 18 x 7. Are you the same Carlos from the clubms3 Yahoogroup?

I've determined that RX-8 wheels are the ticket to heaven. I don't mean to be irreverent but MAN! These wheels look good on everything! I want some so bad.
