You know the only reason why I bought my p5 back in '03 was because it was cheap. $17k out the door with all these options, great suspentions and unique look but after having it for 3 mos. I want to get rid of it already. My girlfriend keep telling to just hang on to it. I almost trade the car in for a Mazda 3 after having it for couple of mos. Anyways, Now that I've owned the car for almost 4 years in June (almost paid off) and now that I own a not just a mazda 3 but mazdaspeed3 when I compare the looks of the 2 I'd definitely go for the protege5. These M3's are frickin' dinosaurs man! They're huge! It's almost like driving a small van or something that's why I can't wait to lower the speed3 soon!

Damn! I knew I should've gotten a red p5. I love red cars just not a red BMW.

I was looking at my car from the side today and wondering what it would look like without the side molding..very nice shows off the body lines better. (naughty)

18" G-Racing SEKI, 215 / 35 tires.
Spoolin 2" springs.
Ride is nice and tight, not harsh or hard.
Such low profile tires require KNOWING the streets you drive though...

Nice early reply

17's with 205/40's, stock height. ASA AR1's, 7" width I believe. Don't get 205/40's 'cause the side wall is too short, and you'll end up denting your rims. Dont' ask me how I know. Go with at least a 205/45 or 215/40 if you go the 17" route....

Protege 5 with Mazda RX-8 Rims From Puerto Rico

I installed 18 " RX-8 Rims with OEM tires that I had to change to 215/35/18 because they rub a little bit on the fenders. Now it runs perfect and I will lower the protege 1.75". The 35 series are hard to the rims but otherwise runs great. Recommended.
