MS3 oil filter

Everything I've read tells me that the MS3 has the drop-in oil filter cartridge, not he spin-on type. But, when I went to the Detroit Auto Show, the display engine they had set up had a spin-on filter on it (see below).

Has anyone gotten under their MS3 and looked yet?

its a cartridge filter not a screw in type.

That is not the MS3 engine, it is the CX-7 engine as can be seen by the automatic transmission and transfer case installed on it.
