Would you have the P5 if...

haha...that's what my wife said when i brought the car home for my test drive "what, you want a station wagon? i thought you wanted something more sporty?"

Ditto! I agree, it's the overall styling and "sportiness" that turned me to the P5. The standard option list was quite nice comparatively speaking. Test drove the Toyota Matrix before it and was highly turned off.

That would not have grabbed my attention like the P5. Once I saw it sitting on the used car lot, I had to have it. It had everything I was looking for (minus the power)....Room, Sportiness, Comfort, Styling, & Good Gas Milage. No so "soccer mom-ish." LOL! I already had the minivan...It was time to get something more fun without compromising room for the kids.

Nope, would have gotten something better looking. Like the protege sedan because I think even that looks better than the pic you posted.

No way, that version is ugly as hell. The styling of the p5 is what sets it apart from the rest of the econo hatches.

Holy fook! Not a prayer in hell me purchasing that fugly thing lol. I don't care how it handled or how much power it has, I used to drive a 99 escort wagon SE and even that looked better than that. I purchased the P5 because it screamed sexy at me from across the used car parking lot. It's boxey curves and agressive front end, honestly the best designed car I've seen in a long time. Only car that as soon as I sat in it I knew I had to have it and after the test drive the deal was sealed in blood lol. P5 forever(first)

Those big-ole fog lights and the 4 headlights are what caught my attention.

Why'd you have to go and show us that? It's like showing someone with a hot girlfriend pictures of her as a gawky teenager with braces and glasses. Not nice, not nice at all.

Like most here, the looks caught my attention which is what pushed me to research it and then drive it... So NO!

I think that my story is not much different: I saw the car on a Mazda lot, drove it, and had to have it :D

So no, I would not have bought the bland Familia :(
