BOV Flutter or is it?

Gotta quick question. My Blitz BOV is making an extreme flutter sound instead of the regular Blitz "whoosh" sound. I have adjusted the spring to almost completely in the valve cap to almost completely out. The flutter sound is still there. Have any of you guys experienced this. I had a Blitz BOV on a previous turbo car before it made the generic "whoosh" sound. And all my friends with a Blitz BOVs cars all made the same sound. Is there a Blitz BOV that actually is made to make a flutter sound? Any help would be great guys!!!

It's the car. I have a dual set up and it still does it somewhat but not as much. I don't even have the same turbo set up anymore and I thought that would have changed it but I was wrong.

are you recirculating with a non-relocated maf?
I'm not completely sure. I just got the car last week. The BOV is on the intercooler piping about a foot or so from the turbo, and the MAF is a couple inches from the air filter. Is this a normal setup?

yeah, you're recirculating so you'll always have that sound...
Okay so I was reading around....realized what you guys meant about hot pipe and cold pipe. My BOV is on the hot pipe. No recirc. Similar to this pic I found on here (Blitz instead of Greddy).
What is the easiest remedy to this?

relocate the maf to the cold pipe along w/ the BOV...make sure the BOV is placed before the MAF...

Okay....I'm gonna try this. With the reading I've been doing it seems as if this is what most people are doing with positive results. Do you know who sells a cold pipe ready to go for this setup? Or will this all have to be a custom setup?

i have simalar problem.. i get a flutter on my custom turbo 1.6l.. my bov is right after the turbo and the maf is on the cold side... dunno what to do now...

I hear ya bro! The car runs great...but the flutter is killing me!! And I know it aint good for the turbo itself. But yeah I'm looking into how difficult and how much $$$ this is gonna take.

from what i have read, its the bov not opening up fast enough, the air is rushing back through the turbo.. i have even tie wrapped the spring smaller so it wouldnt be as stiff.. btw i have a turboxs type h bov

here is what i read...

it's the air bouncing off the Throttle body and all that jazz. basically air bouncing all over the place. we have grown to call it the turkey.

I am about to relocate my MAF in the next 2 weeks when the relocation kit comes in and my GHL turbo back. i will subscribe to this thread to let you know if the turkey goes away. Funny ting is i will be doing this around thanksgiving.... too funny

for clarification because it took a bit for me to understand what "first" is.

starting from the Throttlebody down to the Intercooler (the long pipe) --
TB > MAF > BOV > IC

thn plug the big ass hole in the CAI if you have one with a same diameter pipe and the original couplings.

can you picture it?

Sounds good! Let us all know how it comes out! I still wanna know about getting new hard pipes. The previous owner has had some quality ones made. Powder coated black. But in order for me to relocate the MAF and my BOV both to the cold pipe...extensive fabrication is needed. Is it cheaper to have it custom done or does someone(company) supply what I'm looking for?
