well, this is how i plan on installing the i/c

i need to ovbiously cut the reinforcement bar to raise the I/C, cos it looks retarded like that...

the bumpers is just hanging since i don't wanna cut everything until i have the i/c in place.

i did , however, cut open the front and painted the lip black, it is flat black now, since i still need to bondo some holes and scratched made while cutting the tabs off....

finish product should be better

i also painted the reinforcement bar black and some yellow fromt he chassis that was showing thru the side vents..

any tips??

thnx

it seems to me that you could get the top of the core much tighter up against the bottom of the bumper support. IMO it looks just fine like that from a normal angle... when viewed straight on at eye level you can see the bumper beam but from normal height it isn't really noticable. Thats how mine is and i like it.

you are absolutely right,
i'm still debating wether i should cut the bar, or leave it the way it is...
i'm pulling more to cutting than leaving like that...
it isn't really hard to cut with a metal cutter which i have access too probably...

also, in order for me to "show" the pipes on the sides, the "lip" should be cut, which, as my friend says, sucks...

even tho the way the pipes are routed, there is no option but to cut the pipes, it is a dilema...thnk god i can afford to have the car parked for the week, i'll dealk with that on the wekeend...

on a side note...i'm getting a suspension set up on sat :P

and...i guess i'll go bumperless to the track next friday :P

heres some of my MAM intercooler, it sits flush up against the top of the bumper beam. Just in case it helps you decide (i think either way would prolly work good).

With the grill on and that bottom mesh thingy it looks fine.
So perhpas your just a sLut and not a HIZORE! :)

what's with the "*****" thing, really??

mama not in the corner no more??

anyways....

i made up my mind, i'll be cutting the damn bar....with a grill, it looks fine, but since i already cut that stuff off...it looks like s***...

What about when or iff you get in an accident? I'm picky about sacrificing style for comfort with clothes so it applies to my car as well. Sacrifice safety over looks isn't a smart idea to me. But it's ultimately up to you. As far as suspension, are you getting his suspension for free too? If you are....I HATE YOU!!

hate me baby, hate me!!

in regards to the safety thing...i'm not too worried, because if i crash at 80 mph, reinforcement bar or not, i'll be ******..

i know they're there for a reason, but...well...the always EXCEED limits when it is on safety, so i think i'll be pretty damn protected....
and the bar won't keep you from rolling anyways :P

well..after hours of working, i finnaly got what i wanted..
pipes showing thru the vents, and raised intercooler wihtout showing that ugly ass gap that the mam, hiboost and ion I/C show..

very original huh??
but again...the piping itself is original...

check update in the first post...

Congratulations, you're a lady now ;)

Looks good I have the MPI so fuel cut will no longer be a problem.
