haha, yeah it took both of us about 10 min of looking back and forth between the diagram and the bumper while lying under the car before we had the 'eureka' moment. those tabs are a PITA - almost as bad as changing the low-beam bulbs. i think i did break one... i have to take the cover off again sometime this summer to redo my eyelids, so i may get new ones as a precaution.Bala de Plata said:This is the second time I've had the front off and I can do it pretty quick now that I have all the special manuevers down (dang light tabs). If you still have those screws lying around (sounds like you may have gotten them back on), send me a pic and I'll let you know where they goFull frontal pics are coming when the lip goes on ...
Yes there is a slight difference, but I was always told that it takes a few hundred miles for the ecu to take full advantage of it. just like when I put myMyZmZm said:Really? Because when I put mine in, I noticed a difference - not jaw to the floor improvement, but it was noticeable.

Yep, that'd be me. And I wasn't complaining, just giving my .02 on the light ouput after blacking them out. The only part I painted is the usual plastic piece in the middle, everything else is still chrome. It seems to be the pattern that's affected more than the actual output. My mom's 02 lx side by side w/ my p5 has the crisp light pattern that my p5 used to have before the blackout. I think since the pattern is a little less sharp, it makes the output look a little dimmer. Again, it's not a HUGE difference, but enough to notice. I also plan on putting in HID's in the near future..paul said:Right, it should have no effect. However, I remember one person (dude who just turboed his black p5) complaining that his light output when down after he did it. I know that if it's done right the only part that will be black is the housing but it never hurts to check. Naw mean?
No worries, I don't take anything on these forums personally..paul said:sorry about that, I guess I could have used better word choice. haha
Either way, thanks for heads up.
