Tranny Help Please PICS!!!!!!!!

I'm trying to seperate the gear box from the bell housing. I took all of the bolts out, but it will only seperate about 2 inches. I have no clue what could possibly be holding it together. Any help would be appreciated.

Thats what I am using. I followed all the steps but my gear box wont disconnect from the bell housing. It will only seperate about 2 inches.

come on someone has had to take there tranny apart. Maybe it's not in gear, or some secret bolts, or something is bent?

Don'y you have to take off the black side cover and remove 5th gear and its fork along w/ a 32mm ( i think) nut? Its been a while for me

yes that is very important. i took mine apart a couple weeks ago....i just followed that writeup step for step and it worked fine. make sure you have removed EVERYTHING that is said to be removed. sorry I cannot help more.

ooh so the black cap has to come off? I thought that was just to change the gears. Thanks will try that.

Yes but you'll need an air gun to remove the two large nuts from the shafts. I forget what size they are, but somewhere in the 20s mm. Also, make sure you don't loose the sping/ball that sits towards the front of the tranny. Also make sure you don't break the plastic oil tray inside the black cap!! It's very easy to break. When you pull the black cap just pull it straight up.

with that cover off you can engage 2 gears at the same time which will lock everything up and use a bar to break those nuts free.
