Would sr20de swap be possible?

I was just wondering what peoples thoughts are about swapping the sr20de fwd engine into the msp? I'm sure that engine mounts would have to be made, and have to run a standalone, and many other things. Has anyone ever seen one of these engines in person and do you think they would physically fit in the engine compartment? I know the intake and exhaust are on the right sides and facing the same way so thats good. I'm jsut throwing some ideas out there and seeing what people think. I bet that if you had a front clip and some skills you could manage to get this engine in.
Here are some pics:

Yes, but no.

Yes it would work, but you need alot of money, and someone worthy of doing it. The SR20DET is a similar sized engine to the FS found in the MSP, so there is a good chance it will fit in the engine bay. you will need, custom mounts, stand alone, wiring will be a nightmare, gauge cluster will probably not work, so look for aftermarket speedo etc. New axles and other misc parts. I am sure with the cost of a good Pulsar GTi-R, or U13 bluebird DET and the custom work to make the tranny fit(custom adapter will need to bemade) it will cost you will over 10K

i love the way the pulsar looks, saw a kid with one on the highway...right hand driver....it looked bad ass.....the dude rallys it

Im just saying this would be cool cuz the engine is way better than FS for higher horsepower and is more efficient at doing it.

It would be more fun to find a 240SX and swap the SR20DET into that. (Not to mention a lot easier.)

I was refering to your post, why would you swap an engine thats able to put down more hp when you can easily swap it in to the 240 chassis with ease...

There's a 2.0 Mazda engine that has stronger rods than the FS-DE... it's the block found in the Kia Sportage :)

Seriously though. It was I think 170hp N/A when it was sold on Mazdas. I think I remember reading about someone swapping it into an NA Miata though, but yeah that's RWD so much easier.

Yeah, I've read that guy's site a few times. I forget the details, but the Sportage version of the motor was really good for some reason.

Link to site?

Yep, all the power in the world doesn't help if you can't put it down.

I really wish I could remember what I Googled to find it. Sorry, dude. :(

Damn I was hoping you'd remember haha. Um I think it was a cardomain page, and an NA miata. Was it red? I think it was red. I think he went crazy turbo and had a honda civic (???) radiator or something. I don't know, it's not even 7am yet and I got under 3 hours of sleep so I'm still way out of it.
