FINALLY got my decibals increased

rainy day here, but went by the friend's muffler shop and finished up the custom catback today. it's hella loud at wot, but the drone is relatively quiet if u keep steady throttle on the freeway

the NEW!!! we decides to go with 3" since he doesnt have a mandrel bender. also went under the axle too. i like how it turned out

not at all, it hangs no lower that any under the axle premade setup. believe me, we tested it already =P

very cool setup! i like that you went under the axle , i did a similar setup recently on my msp! i also dig how the muffler sits nicely under the rear lip. keep up the good work

hehe yeah, he is kindof a crappy welder but 100x better than me at it so im not complaining. sound clip to come in the next few days btw

$400 apex catted midpipe $140 muffler and a case of beer for the 3" + some time spent working on the car with a buddy lol

edit: he runs a midas shop locally. i wanted get him on video singing the "Trust the Midas touch" catch phrase but he refused that would have been priceless, i even offered to pay him to do it, but he didn't

because....it looks good and some people like it but than again some people do not. I guess it depends on what your goals are with your vehicle...

sandspeed, i listened to your clips again since im home with good speakers for once (instead of trolling forums at work lol) and my exhaust sounds almost identical to yours. maybe a bit more of an air whooshing noise. i'll get some clips up monday hopefully

thanks!! im determined to make it just a bit less volume though. city driving is insanely loud. on the freeway i can quiet it down by holding throttle lightly, but whenever you accel it just roars inside the car. so im pondering 2 choices:

1. dynomat the trunk to reduce inside cabin noise.
2. look fora bit more baffled muffler lol
