Altezzas ON or OFF???

I think it will look real nice with the mazda lips car as a whole looks good im just not a big fan of the altezza's man

hahah i like the front lip, but it's 261 new and not painted! That seems like a lot for a thin little attachment.

I like the msp front bumper better though because more curves andd i dont need a lip (the ES bumper is too plain and round. the lip only adds a little). plus i have fog wiring there and just need to get fog lamps.

But definitely whatever one i can get for cheap and painted already i will buy. we'll see.

I got free wheels! I'll post a pic when i get the chance. they came off a scion tc hahah 18" baby! Now i need lowering springs. so the EIBACH SPORTLINE or pro's? What do you guys suggest. I don't want it too low like the tire is in the fender. the black and silver protege above look good =)

oh, if i lower the car, i probably wont get skirts or front bumper for a while. TOO much money!!!

haha thanks.

OK everyone.... added a poll up top. Go and vote now! I have stock taillights still and will put them back if there is an overwhelming response to. (LOOK WHICH ONE IS WINNING RIGHT NOW!)

Hahah Thanks for your tips so far guys!

You crack me up nktm with your poll. I voted to keep them on. I mean the stock ones aren't all that plus a box of twinkies. Keep them. If you put them on it's obvious you like them. Peace, San.

If you wanna get that bumper longer, the MSP's came with rear lips. Very clean up until the Altezzas.

Yup the it was realy going for me until those altezas reared their ugly heads.

Altezas belong ot toyota altezas and nothing else.

haha ok ok.... looks like the stock lights win...
I'll put them back on when I can find time.

(How do you edit the poll? or add a new one?

Sooooooo... I have a pic of 1 of the 4 wheels I am getting for FREE.

Hehe, not my choice, but it doesn't look too bad, and it is FREEEEEE!!!

Anyways, have a few questions. As you can see when I i put it in, it definitely needs some lowering springs.

1) Will I be able to lower it???? There's a thing (have no idea what it is called) that is about an inch away from the tire. So, if I lower it will it hit it or cause any problems? Or even without lowering it, is this a problem? I have a pic of my concern.

You can see how the thing that holds the spring is really close to the tire. AHHHH!

2) What lowering springs do you guys suggest? I don't want the tire under the body. Just so it looks nice...
I am thinking of the EIBACH sportline springs

Ok, so I'm holding off for a LONG while on skirts and rear valence because it is way too much money...

Thanks guys looking foward to your opinions!

If they are free and you arnt going to hurt anyones feelings sell them on craigslist or ebay. Use that money to get the ones you want. I bet those chrome rims are HEAVY and if YOU dont like them (which is the most important) then get different ones with the cash (thumb)

Good idea. Some people can rock chrome, I'm not one of them. Plus those look pricey, you could get some nice wheels that you like better and are lighter. I bet those wheels slow down acceleration big time. But if you are just looking for show those look good.

That "thing" is the shock FYI and you should look into Eibach Prokit springs if you want a full drop. The new springs will move the shocks further up so the wheels will be snug in the fenders.

thanks.

hmmm... I actually want the 2003.5 mazdaspeed rims (gunmetal). that was my first choice. And yes, this one wheel alone is pretty heavy, so I can see how it can decrease acceleration.

what is the difference between Eibach ProKit and sportline? I am probably going to get lowering springs no matter what...

Pro kit is more for cornering performance, they have a higher spring rating, ( roughly 1.5 inch drop), and sportline is more for looks with less performance (lower drop roughly 2 inches I think)

Yeah, the Racing Harts are gorgeous. If I had 5 lugs I would have gotten a set instead of my ICW's.

hahah tell my about it! now, only if I could sell these rims...
We'll I'll keep you guys posted. I am going with the Eibach Sportline, because I need a much lower drop; preformance wise I think sportline should suit my needs; and I like red! hahah Just looking for a good deal now. Leaning towards ebay. :)

That's cool, also keep an eye out in the for sale section here. Springs, Racing Harts, and other nice upgrades come up for sale every so often. This was a few weeks ago:

Edit: I just noticed that it seems Daedalus has mastered time travel and came back from the future to sell these wheels(hah)

Sweeeeeeeeet! Thanks to Ken and his super fast shipping, I installed Eibach sportline springs today with help of my dad and bro. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't hard either. Once we got the first spring, it was easier for the rest. I bet you guys will forgive me for putting altezza's on when you see these pics! (thumb)
Well here are the pics.

Yes, yes...the altezzas are still on there... I didn't feel like getting them out.

it is pretty low, lower than I expected, but looks nice. I think I just eliminated my need for other appearance mods for now because it looks really clean now, although RH mazdaspeed wheels would look nice :)
