2001 MP3
Okay so I just sold my MP3 the other day and once I get to California(3 weeks) I will need another car. I was thinking of what to get and thought maybe you guys can think of a car I forgot about. I don't want to get the same car twice so I'll post up what I've already had and throw some pictures in for the hell of it.
1986 Porsche 944
1989 Toyota Corolla GTS
1996 Ford Mustang GT
1991 MR2 Turbo
1984 Datsun 300zx Turbo
1990 Nissan 240sx
2001 Mazda MP3
(All 5-speeds)

I was thinking about getting one of the following. If anybody has/had on of these and could comment on it that would really help narrow it down.

1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R
1st Gen Miata
1st Gen RX-7
1st Gen DSM
1991 Crx

My old Corolla is in the backround. The other guy I work with bought it off me. 153,000 miles and it still runs strong.

So you had a MR2 Turbo and sold it? How come? That is a badass little car, and the 2nd gens look very hot.

Actually I wasn't planning on selling that car. That was my favorite. I ran low 14's with stock everything and a boost controller only adding an extra 3lbs of boost. I know it was capable of high 13's with just a little more boost but I didn't have the right spark plugs yet(one step colder.) I probably would have been doing 12's by now but someone rear-ended me and totaled the car. I was really pissed but it happens.

MIATA!!! You can't go wrong with a Miata, if you can deal with 2 seats. and living in CA, you'll get to have the top down all the time. My dad has a '99 with the sport suspension package, and it's perfect. just enough power with incredible handling and RWD. it's an MP3 times 2. but you have to get either the R-Package (1994-1997) or the sport package (1999-up) - they're the same Bilstien shocks and stiff springe. all the others are pigs.

1991 MR2 Turbo

I drove my friend's '93 turbo mr2 last week and I mus say that it's an insanely fun car to drive. It's feels alot smoother than the miata's that I have driven and it has plenty of power to back it up.

I have no probelm having a 2 seater. The MR2 and the 300zx where 2 seaters. I'm insane when it comes to keeping my car clean and the possibility of only having one passenger helps, you'll never become the taxi.

Twin Turbo Stealth or 3000

I like working on my own cars. If you have ever seen under the hood of that thing it is a NIGHTMARE to do anything. They are nice cars though.

'84 or '85 Supra. I've always loved those cars. they're rare now too, just like your MP3 is rare. I wanted one so bad, but couldn't afford it at the time so I drove a Celica GTS for 10 years...

1996 Ford Mustang GT

I would go for the mustang. And since you are gonna be out in Cali I would opt for a vert mustang gt or cobra. They are fast rear drive V8's and extremely cheap to mod. I have had 6 V8 mustangs 87-98 and they were all a blast to drive. You can find mustangs for great prices and if you look hard enough you could find an unmolested one that you can mod from scratch.

This is my 2 cents...

Pete
