Washing Of The Hair

How long have you gone without washing your hair? How long is it acceptable to not wash your hair? Is it el terrible to not wash hair? For me its 3 days and going strong. Dont think im gross i bathe daily just have not been washing my hair lately.

I rinse my hair but I wash it, maybe three times a year.

i cant do that my hair feels wierd if i dont wash it. like its heavy or something. i cant explain it i just cant stand it.

well i have thick hair and used to wash daily. and on friday i got a haircut and its short now so i decided "why not go without washing it cause it gets awfully dry if i do" and its not good for the hair to wash it daily so im testing this out. its not bad dry in the shower it feels extra oily...but then dry it isnt bad.

And when it grows out long well i normally cant stand not washing it cause its long and narsty...i might get a mohawk towards the spring semester but who knows...

it feels gross/heavey because of the oil that builds up from touching it and from your scalp

i have dreads, so i have to wash every 2-4 days religiously or they will smell, and i don't like to be smelly..

i especially have to wash them after a gig because of sweat and the nasty smoke/stale beer/bar funk smell that it'll pick up

If I'm home I wash it everyday and can notice if I don't wash it for a day. If I'm out of civilization I could care less. I could go without a shower for a week or more.

I upgraded to self-cleaning hair. It's pretty sweet, but only a beta version, so sometimes it catches on fire. Oh well.

ok now that all us have said we don't wash our hair for days at a time or a week I have another question for you how long is your hair? I'm trying to let my hair grow but I can't get it to look good. It's almost 10" long now so it's getting long. I have gone 2 days without washing it. I don't like how it gets if I don't wash it every day but i know that your supposed to so you don't wash all the oil out of it. If your hair is long, do you wash it everyday, 2 days, or more?
