Mazda Protege Owner Photos

justanotheradikt - Love the bumper conversion, came out great. Is there a way to fix the gaps between the bumper and the lights though? I'd like to put on a p5 bumper when I get the time and money. Got any side shots?

Nice kit desy, does the front lip scrape at all? If I keep the stock bumper I will probably get that lip.

No scrapes yet! but however i did love tap it to the ground very barely, coming out of a driveway. The car right now is even lower than the pic, only by about 1'' more, i hav steelies on now for the winter!

nice kit dude !

but i have a question : I bought a MP3 convertion in fiber glass (do not comment :)) (except the side skirt, they are in urethan) I have the front bumper, the side skirt and the rear lip. For the bumper it's ok, i switch my actual bumper to the other, but for the side skirt and the rear lip, i don't want to bore the body and the rear bumper. When i'll sell the car, i'll probably put it stock so i don't want to have hole everywhere. The side skirt will be fix at end of each side but in the middle, i'll put what ??? Someone talk to me about stick has urethan. But some other say me that if i try to remove the pieces, ill probably break them... But another thing lol, i live in quebec so we have nice winter !!! so i'll like to be able to remove the side and the rear lip. The rear lip won't have screw so i'll put what for fix this ? and i want to be able to remove them without break them ?? stick has urethan ? 3M Tape ? help me please !!! (hear ya) (crazy)

which side skirst and rear lip are u using?

for mine, i hav msp sideskirts and wings west rear. They only give the illusion of it actually being lower to the ground, so if you want take it off because you think its too low, don't. It won't makemuch a difference. It LOOOKS lower, but it realli isn't.

and yah, use double sided 3M tape or whatever!

For the winter, i'll maybe keep them on except the front bumper.
I just want to be able to remove them when i'll sell the car without that it appear..

Have you use 3M Tape ?
If yes, is it appear ?

Thank :)

Ok, dont laugh... its a stock as stock gets. Car wont be modded very much since its the wifes car for now (just got married). Its an 02 LX 5-speed.

Plans:
Tint, lower with MSP springs or maybe Eibach Pro Kits.

Future plans:
OEM front, side and rear skirts.

Give your wife the Corolla and drive the protege!

j/k, looks good. I wish I had the moonroof on my car.

Edit: And by the way, that ex-miata of yours in your sig is f*ing gorgeous!

looks like a nice car

with a drop, tint, and short shifter (even with stock knob) you'll be good to go

Yeah I hope to do any upgrades at a VERY low cost. I didnt spare much expense with the Miata and Jeep buildups and its part of the reason Im poor right now instead of having a huge down payment on a house... almost regret the money spent LOL.

I plan to daily drive the Corolla for a while and the money saved by driving it ( itspaid off and insurnace is like 20 a month on it) I will be able to buy my wife a nice car and take the Protege for myself and then really toy with it.

I sure love these threads, its fun to see what everyone has done.

Drock, check out this page for the final stages of the Miata, I miss that thing SOOO bad!!!

OK OK, you win. :D

I never said mine was fast for a bike, just that it was fast for a car. :) But I'll beat you on a dirt-road if I take off the sticky Metzlers and put on knobbies.

here is my 2002 DX, first picture is the obvious stock picture and than a few of my changes. 17" enkei with Kumho tires, CAI, Catback Exhaust, and set of 12" Dual subs
