Alright, I'm way over due for a downpipe and this is what I had in mind.

Apex MSP Cat-Less Downpipe $299 2.5" or 3"
Apex MSP With-Cat Downpipe $399 2.5" or 3"
CorkSport Power Series Downpipe $249 2.4"

Now correct me if im wrong but a downpipe consists of the S/J-Pipe. If I were to go with the CS DP Should I aslo get a MAM midpipe? Would I seen worthy gains with a midpipe running 8-10 psi? Do I have any other options in the midpipe deparment? or should I just scrap the midpipe idea (uhm)

Stainless Steel Catless Midpipe $169.00
Stainless Steel Midpipe $269.00

I was planning on going custome pipe after the bolton purchase and keeping my stock muffle casue I dont like rice cannons (poke)

I attached all the pics becasue I know people get excited when they see a paperclip besdie the title :)

Any comments/tips/suggestions well be greatly appreciative

you will feel some gains with just the s and j pipes but i would recommend going with the full corksport system. It'll cost you like $730 shipped and will igve you about 20whp. take it from someone who has an apex midpipe which leaks.... get the corksport but make sure that you get new hangers and motor mounts soon because the corksport exhaust doesn't have a flex piece and could potentially break (at a weld on the s pipe), the way i see it, It's good to get the motor mounts anyways so why not kill two birds with one stone? The amount of money you will spend on any other system will cost as much or more than the CS system and the motor mounts and hangers.... just my two cents

Thanks for your input.

The system looks really good but im not a fan of the 4" cannon. Thats why I wanted to go custom after the CS DP so I could keep my original muffler.

and the motor mounts and hangers are defanitly a need aswell

if I were you I would buy the Corksport S pipe (around $200 ) and then have a local exhaust shop do from the S pipe back to the muffler in 3". Then add motor mounts. Should be the cheapest and you dont get stuck with 2.4" piping..

That sounds like a good idea jeff. I really wouldnt know what kind of material I should ask the exhaust shop to use. CS uses T304 stainless steel and it seems to look like good material.

btw im somewhat local to you, could you recomend an exhaust shop?
aslo do you have any filtering on your exhaust cats/ect?

Thanks alot

Apex 3in + qtp cut-out and stock cat-back It's over kill, but man that thing's loud when I flip the switch! The whole set-up cost about $500 and when it's open it'll out-flow just about anything else. The only real drawback I have is that when I open it up for too long it hurts my ears!

You can bolt the stock muffler to the CS exhaust without any problems. Sounds really good too. You loose some power without the CS muffler, but its WAY quieter.

You always have the option to switch it out as well.

for cost, I got my 2.5" catless midpipe (w/welded flanges to bolt on) from the local meineke for $ 70.00 installed. Only if you decide for "cost effective".

If I had the $$$ I would have definately gone with the GHL full 3".

I'll be installing my 2.5" Apex downpipe with cat sometime this week. I'm keeping the stock exhaust.
I'll let you know what I think after the install. (thumb)

Mabey I should of posted for the title " What kinda of exhaust setup do you run and how do you like it"

Yeah the GHL dp is sex in a bucket.

I might get the GHL dp or the CS one and go custom with supporting mods (Flex Pipe and AWR motor mounts). I was aslo looking and the Weapon R motor mount thingy but I seen to many posts tha trash it.

the APEXr downpipe, what's the "updated" version look like? is the flex pipe first, then the cat? i remember people cracking/breaking their apex cuz there was not enough give where it connects to the s-pipe (although stiff motor mounts will help there). so which is the newer version? flex pipe before cat, or flex pipe after cat?

I have no Idea about where they added the flex pipe. The pics they have on their website show the older one.

This DP doesn't even look like it connects to the turbo. When you compare the CS DP and the Apex DP, the CS DP actully looks like it fitts our system. I know ppl have it installed and everything but from the picture it looks impossible to bolt onto our turbo. Im just lost on how the bolted it up.

the apex midpipe doesn't bolt onto the turbo, it bolts onto the stock s-pipe. I have the apex midpipe, sounds good, a little bit more juice in 2nd and 3rd, never had a problem, but i did buy the full cs system. It sure does get old when vendors put "turbo back exhaust" when it isn't...

the S-pipe connects to the turbo. the J-pipe connects to the S-pipe.

some guy is selling his Apex downpipe (check the for sale thread) and his downpipe has the flext pipe before the cat.

okay, thats what I thought. the Apex "downpipe" connects to the j pipe, whichs connects to the s pipe and together they make a downpipe.

?? Looks like the Apex downpipe replaces both the J- and the Mid- pipes and connects directly to the S-pipe.
