Sweetest Car Ever
so today i was takin my motor out of my car and i noticed my top motor mount is completely ripped apart. ill take some pics tomorrow but i was wondering if anyone has heard an update on some aftermarket motor mounts?? this would be an ideal time to change them.

and before anyone asks why im takin the motor outta my car its because i spun a rod bearing so now im fixing it, and once i got the trans off the engine im definately due for a new clutch so ill be gettin one of those too. (braindead

mr. tea was talking about a company making them but it was goin to take a while... not sure where that is at...

They supposedly redesigned the factory one (there's a TSB). Maybe you could get your hands on one of those until somebody makes some polys.

if i cant figure out how to make a new one then ill have to. but while i have the motor out im gonna fill in the other 2 with rhino lining to stiffen em up some.(if you dont know what im talkin about go to the thread titled "custom polyeurethane motor mounts") (first)

There is a rear mount out. And I had the passenger on replaced. Is there any flex to the rino lining stuff?
I have a torque brace that I will be fabbing some brackets for during the turbo install.

yeah i saw the rear mount thats out, but that ones easy to do myself. and yea theres a little bit of flex in the rhino but its rreally close to what polyeurathane mounts would be.

i believe AWR has mounts in the works for this car

Yup.. I just installed the rear mount today.

I installed the 70 durometer. Slight vibration at start up but no driveability issues..

Havent done any hard lunches as I am still breaking in my clutch and fly. So far the car seems more solid and quicker throttle response.

sorry about the news on both the rod bearing and the mount. I want to see pictures of this ripped mount

I know I don't have 3, but all 3 of my motor mounts were shot when my new engine went in. So I had them filled with urethane instead of buying new mounts. Its a little harsher than stock, but not nearly as bad as some people mention when they but AWR ones

heres a bad pic of the ripped motor mount. i started to cut all of the excess rubber off of it.
