Anyone using this here yet? I'm playing with the Beta now. It's kind of neat but I was really hoping to get to see all of the new Flip 3D stuff. Can't seem to find out if I can try it or not????
IE7 is quite a bit different. It's like the entire OS has leaned a few tricks from OSX really.
vista is sweet as hell. i was running it for a few days and it seemed really well made and a lot more stable. It also seems less oriented towards mom and dad who haven't used a PC in their life (like XP was) and more oriented towards PC savy people
Had to install the LDDG drivers I think it was? From Nvidia's site for me. They are called Longhorn drivers.
I can get the link if you want it. If you have ATI or something else I'm not sure.
Once they are installed, the special effects worked out great. The glass transparency on the windows, the flip 3d ( you have to hold down the windows key and spacebar at the same time to activate flip 3d)
Vista is sweet. I rarely screw with beta's any more but this seems pretty stable so far. Much different though and finding your way around isn't quite the same as XP. The sidebar option I'm not too sure about that. Seems like it's just in the way.
The OS looks like the lovechild of XP and OSX. That is a good thing imho.
In these pics below, there are two web sites. Turn on FLIP 3D, it will literally turn the windows Side on, and you can use the scroll button or arrows to choose which window you want to go to. It's all animated very cool.
the newest build the turning of the windows to the side was taken out.. they could not fix the problem of turning them to far and dissappearing.. so it was yanked out for build 5231
