it installs on the bottom of the block, the timing belt runs it, its under the timing cover, and seals to the block.. very common designe..

What is that oil pump for? That would have to be the weirdest Fs/de pump I have ever seen. I think you got the wrong pump.

That's what I was thinking...since the oil filter boss is part of the block on every FS-DE I've ever seen. And since I though the pump ran off the crank, it slips over the crankshaft....

oh no i know it's a b****, they leave out having to unplug all the sensors, putting them back in, and definitely don't include the suprise sensors you didn't see and hear snapping when you lift the engine out. plus you have the headache of aligning and decking everything to make sure it's all correct. never mind all the bolts you end up losing in the black hole of bolts.

Hahaha! I'm a moron! I don't even know why I posted that. For some reason I was thinking water pump. Duh! I was wondering the same thing though, that oil pump looks nothing like the stock oil pump. I would make sure you can get your money back if it don't work.

well turns out this one is for a subaru 1800 whatever in the hell that is, so I will be getting another one

I had a feeling it was wrong when i opened it thanks for pointing it out for me :)

about that pump...

I've heard some bad things about those Toga Oil Pumps... check out Probetalk.com or mx6.com and search a little bit. A few guys have blown engines because their pumps failed.

Like I said, search around a bit, it might save you it the long run.

Cheers
