Running 7-7.5 PSI, stock internals, FM/Begi turbo kit (super60 T3), MAM FMIC, WRX 440cc injectors, pierberg in line fuel pump, Microtech full standalone EMS, cold air intake, HKS hi-power exhaust, no cats, custom downpipe, 94 oct pump gas and getting perfect a/f numbers

Max POWER - 197.8 Max TORQUE 194.3

Are these good numbers for 7 psi?

I did add a FMIC instead of the Begi side one and got rid of the afpr and got a ems instead, so that hopefully *knocks on wood* be safe for this motor.

Wickid, just take it easy on the redline and your FS should hold to that pressure setting for quite some time.

i got 230whp at 8psi and around 200 torque. i have a super 60 t3 also, that was with external wastegate and a emanage and no injectors at the time. but sounds good, i just got internals and put wrx injectors in so im planning to push 15psi on dyno but will probably run 12 psi to be safe, good numbers man. kudos

Very nice!
Don't up the boost until you are fully prepared for it. There is no turning back. I am at 9.5psi with my Hiboost IHI and just replaced my tranny last week which is probably unrelated since I had the weak early 02 tranny. Now I'm scared to go full throttle like I have been the last year and a half. I just refuse to turn the boost back down. It's more addictive than sex!!

yeah be very careful with the whole "let's see how much this can take." If I were you, I'd look into purchasing a spare block. Switch it out w/the current one, then build up your current motor. The reason I say switch it is because you know you've treated the original engine properly :)

Yeah, i'm in the existing zoom zoom boom club already with a cracked piston ringland with my original motor. So trying to do it more carefully now. This is the maximum I'll go boost wise with stock internals.

However I did put BKR6's, running 94 oct and have an oil cooler so hopefully these plus the above mods such as a full standalone ems, 440s, fmic and no restrictions will make this a good setup to last and be reliable.

Who you'd get the Microtech through? Let me know if you have any questions or whatever, and please do post your maps in the Microtech library. I can send you an excel file template for you to put your values in. I'm curious to see what you have relative to what we've been doing. But nice numbers and glad to see another Microtech out there :).

Had it install and tuned locally by a shop. They did an awesome job. They are Microtech dealers.

The only issue we had was
1.) alternator issue; which we work around , DO NOT HOOK UP THE ALTERNATOR ON IT'S OWN OR IT'LL BLOW.
2.) the CEL and battery light staying on all the time

Other than that the car started right away when installed with no problems once so ever. Then we slapped the car on the dyno for tuning with wideband and it's smooth like butta now. The WRX 440's worked great, the IDC are so much lower for safety sake, the aux fuel pump was an extra measure as well.
The only thing is now I have to bring it back to tune the cold start issue. I have to leave it over night with them. Right now it doesn't idle when the engine is cold. Have to warm it up then it runs like gold.

Turfburn, thanks for your contributions on your Microtech treads, my installer read everyone of them and found it really helpful. I'll post my maps asap, did you get the same amount to hp and ft lbs of torque on your setups on a car with similar setup as me?

Other than that, it's perfect. Very good product.

I'm hoping to dyno end of next week or just after... another guy is dynoing end of next week as well...

There is a way around that alternator/battery/etc deal... but I won't post it up here, have your installer call me and I can tell him how to do it.. and you didn't need to modify the wiring at all for the alternator... it can be left alone.

Look at the maps I posted personally in the Microtech section... that will have the crank and after start enrichment values you need to get the car to start beautifully in the cold.

Later!

Steve

im running basically the same kit as you and i have still yet to dyno mine. im wondering what the differnces are in the turbos from the diff BEGI kits. what is the diff between the super 60 T3 and say the Turbonetics t03/t4h im using or are they the same. im currently staying at 6psi and happy with it. just wondering what numbers i might run with full 2.5" turbo back(no cats), and the dinky Begi FMIC
