engine bay advice.

alright here's the bay. i'm thinking of painting the valve cover blue with the lettering polished, blue hose technique hoses and silver radiator hose covers with red clamps. I might even go for a chrome radiator fluid tank with red cap. also some red sparkplug wires from Magnecor. and i'm ordering OBX headers so the headers cover will be gone and i'm also going to put armor all on the black hoses for a slick shine look.

Blue valve cover, trying to get a shiney plastic durable look.
Blue hose technique hoses. Hoses at middle/bottom.
And the radiator hoses. Silver with red fittings.

i would just like some advice on this because i have rarely seen the inside of a silver p5 bay and exspecially with this color combo. i would just like to hear some feedback before i do anything permanent, like painting. thanks.

Here is what the engine bay looks like now.

Quite the patriotic theme you'll have :). IMO, sometimes less is more. I would pick one color - either blue or red - and stick with it. Again, just my opinion. Also, the Samco Sport hoses would be a good alternative to radiator covers (although, probably more expensive).

hmm my advice, i wouldnt paint anything under the motor (ie. valve cover) because over time, the paint will chip and fade. i know from experience.

just some pics attached. u may get ideas or not?

good luck bro :)

peace

edit*** some pics are huge!!! sorry

haha patriotic, didn't even think of that (2thumbs) but yea, i don't want to over do it and make it seem like i'm trying to hard. i just want it to look better than it does now and when i open my hood people will like the look of it. so because of that i might take your advice and keep this simple. blue hose techniques. not going to paint the cover, maybe just get a valve cover. preferrably not a CF one but any other type. but i'm still leaning towards the silver/red radiator hose covers. so blue with a hint of red (thought)

L8r, those pics actually did help some. just trying to get a general idea for a silver car. everyone else's engine bays look so nice and dressy. i plan on entering some local small shows to get started. so i'm trying to start somewhere.

ic ic. i think chrome'd out engine bays are super nice, but it is really expensive at the same time. if i had my choice id chrome some pieces in my engine bay, but we have no local chrome dipping shops. id have to mail my parts to the mainland... so sad! but yah, suttle and simple dude. blue + silver = nice good luck.

peace

pics attached are different cars close to silver. may help? idk

alright, i'll look over a set of pics i put together and make my final decisions tonight and post them. thanks once again. maybe i'll get some help at the shows around here.

Bummer. Well, I know the MSP one fits on the P5 so I am sure the reverse must be true as well.
