I have been using Granitize S-series Car Wash/Wax for 15 years now and this is why... Picture taken minutes after just washing the car this afternoon.

If you look close enough you can see the 100's of stone chips I have due to Mazda cheap arse paint!?

i've never even heard of that kind of car soap/wax....of course my car is a 95 POS and i just want it clean....not a showroom polish

its just a kind of soap I have been using forever.
No polishing needed? :)

http://www.granitize.com/cat/categoryDetail.cfm?type=soap/degreasers

I buy it in the 5gallon bucket for ~$55... last years and I wash a sh!tload of cars.

no no...u got me wrong...i know u don't have to polish...and you STILL get a "polished" finish....very nice soap....maybe i'll buy some and test it on my dad's M3...(plenty of lil' rock chips up front)

EDIT: where can u find it? walmart? autozone?

if the waterspots are from hard water, yeah, it works pretty good on getting rid of them but under really harsh conditions it takes a little elbow grease and wax to remove them?
As for where to buy? I have to buy from local Car Dealer supply. Contact Granitize for local dist: It comes in 1gallon buckets too.

if you have waterspots on a bare clearcoat finish it can etch the paint requiring some abrasives to remove, eating away at your clearcoat in the process

Nice, but I see one paint chip. I should take a pic of mine...

yeah I gotta clean up my car...too much waterspot from the previous owner, and damn waterspot on window is a b****...any advise?

If you guys would see my front bumper up close... it looks like the paint of a car of the '80s that as 400,000 miles. I'll have to pay to have this bumper repainted next year for sure...

If you follow other cars on the highway very close you will get chips, cheap paint or not, it will chip. I have some pin size tiny dents in my front right fender from passing trucks in winter when the roads are all salted real good. Of course I get the car polished anually because the winter just brutalises the paint here.

I try my best to avoid following to close or anything, by I had to pass two trucks, just two damn trucks carying lumber this winter in wet/salty conditions and believe me it that was the end of my front lip. But I know how unavoidable it is. I'm not complaining, but it makes me sad :(
