Rusting rear rotors...

So...is anyone else experiencing this as well?? My rotors in the rear of the car are rusting..not where the brake pads come into contact..but in the center...looks wonderful through the 18" wheel...service department says Mazda will not replace...because it doesnt alter the functioning of the brakes...I told them I didnt buy a mazda pickup here...I bought an RX8 sports car...and that why would they install an open center 18"wheel if the didnt want us to see the brakes??? any input??

id say paint the hubs yourself, but it sounds like you have a gay ass dealer, and if you ever need brake work done they might give you s*** for ******* painted hubs, which is total bulls***, but anyways....ask to have the dealership paint the hubs?

i'd sand the hubs and paint them with high heat anondized paint in a silver color.

I guess mine aren't rusting so badly that I feel the need to put her in the shop.

But then a lot of 8 owners take their cars in for the seat backs getting hairline scratches in em, headlights having a slight discoloration, minute door rattles, and so on. I guess I am not that fanatical.(dunno)

Update...looks GREAT!!

Well..took my time...and removed the wheels...cleaned the rotors front and back...and painted them up....looks great...while I was at it...I also painted the calipers red to match the car...WOW...looks awesome!!!
