Just drove a 350z

Holy s***, I'm in love. I'm only 17 and they still let me take her for a spin tonight, it was an automatic...but still. Blue, leather, oh..it was sweet. Freaking fast too! The salesperson was like, get on it! your not gonna scare me..oh I started shaking I was so excited lol. Oh yea, they had a twin turbo Z inside too, with 19" Volks...I took a couple pics on my phone, I'll upload them tomorrow.

nah... at 17 you need a 350z. we all do. I was looking at them but decided getting my MSP instead. I thought it was a better platform for what I was looking at... But then the engine blew, and in retrospect it would've saved me a couple grand if i would've bought a 350z, evo, or the like...

eh... its life. I just fell in love with the touring model i drove when i heard that exhaust note. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

At 17, you can have fun in a Toyota Corolla 5spd or a Mazda3...then when you buy a sports car with your own money later in life, you will appreciate it so much more. If you buy a 350z now, then what? Are your parents gonna buy you a Ferrari when you turn 21?

Cars are an addiction...like drugs. Don't pounce for the heroin on your first round...instead start with some pot and work up your tolorence.

Dude... NO ONE has fun in a toyota corolla... And to be perfectly honest, he does drive a AUTO P5... so he knows about that class of car.

No offense... but if hes paying for it why the hell not? I work three jobs and attend college full time and payed for my MSP in full by myself and the new 7,000.00 engine. I work my ass off for my car because it is the one thing in life that brings happiness to me. The kid drove a 350z, it was a great time for him, let him have his fun. Hell even if his parents did pay for it... i'd still take it. You only live once, everyday is a gift, why the hell not go balls to the walls as much as you can? Live it up.


But to give credit where credit is due, your heroin and pot refrence made me laugh. Cheers to you.

Seriously, I just drove it for the hell of it. There is no way the folks would let me have that kinda car right now. And yes, I do know about what kinda car I should be having fun in...I've got an auto P5, and trust me, its no fun anymore.

Damn guys, freakin poop on his thread why don't you. Why does it matter when in life he theoretically gets his car. Should he wait until he's middle aged and all of his money is going to help his kids attend a good college? Makes more sense to get it now and have some fun before responsibility kicks in. Not to mention the chick picking up potential of a 17 year old in a 350Z. I wish I had one when I was in high school, that would've owned. It's hard to get girls into a 93 escort hatch with no A/C and faded red paint. (rockon) If his parents are paying for it then all the more reason to get it now. I'm going to be a teacher and we all know that's not exactly a high paying job......if my rents wanted to buy me a 350Z I'd sure as hell take it and have some fun. As long as he's safe and smart about it why not. I for one want to see these pictures too. Man, such a negative response toward a kid who had fun test driving a car.......

I work for a nissan dealership. I've driven the "nismo" 350Z, It was louder but not that much faster with the exhuast and intake. It's not worth the money, if you have that kind of cash be smart and buy an EVO or an STI.

I dont know if he should have a 350z or not and really dont care lol. I drove one last week and wasn't very impressed with it at all. In fact it was taken off the list of possible daily drivers that I'm looking at getting for the end of spring. It just felt heavy and slow to me for some reason. I guess I'm just used to the MSP lol

Hey,are you the same 17 yr. kid who fell in love w/ an Evo??Anyway,the Z is really tight especially in Daytona Blue like my cuz(BlueBatmobile).I wouldn't mind getting one for my next car but I hate it's bad gas milage(my cuz told me he pays like 40 bucks for gas each week using 91)So in about 2 1/2 yrs.,I will hopefully have enough $$ for an RSX.But getting back to you,hehe,if you want I would save up some cash and find a used 240SX,that would be sick!!Save up a lot of cash after that and drop an SR20 and ****...you'll be set!!That's what I would do if I had a 240!!

Hell, I'm not some spoiled little rich kid that flaunts stuff in everyones face...I just like nice cars when I see em, this time I got to drive one. I won't be getting another car until I'm outta college either, so I got a while lol. I'll post up the pics when I get home this afternoon.

I owned one for 6 months, but i was 26!!! What a peice of s***! ****** up suspension eating tires every 6 months. I just got rid of it to the highest bidding dealer! which landed me the MSP!

Yes i love RWD, yes it had a ton of torgue on those 18" rims ( i had the Track) and boy those brembo's where sweet. and OMG was the exhaust note a beatiful sound. And the car design and look is oh so smoooooth. but damn what a POS! for the money i could have gottena 3 series BMW or even the G35 which is only a tad bit slower because of gearing.

and yes the CAI on a 350 actually hurt the gains! the airbox was pressurized and was absolutely perfect for the car! Oh and mods.... they thought everyone was rich that owned one!Way to expensive!
