i got the AT front mount. nothing but good things here (besides a couple days to break in)

the front motor mount is a must on a protege it is the first thing i recomend for them

nice. the front mount is easy to put in, but i'm sure you've heard the rear is a total prick. but damn i'm happy that i have both in. it transforms the car into a new car! give yourself 2-4 weeks and you'll be used to the feel of the engine.

I've been thinking about the a/t front mount..just a little something to help out with wheel hop.
I just put mine in this past weekend, and love it. It vibrates a good bit more at idle, but other than that you dont know its in there (well, except when you stomp on it from a standstill). Great mod.

The thru bolt was a b**** to loosen, but a 2 foot breaker bar fixed that. :)

lifting on the engine a tad with an engine hoist to take the weight of the motor off the mount helps as well.

what was yours doing before it finally 'broke in'?

as of now, mine makes a low rumbling sound when i take off (fast or slow), sounds kind of like a grinding, but the mount is in there as stiff as can be.

considering i only drive the car on the weekends, is that why it's still there (it's been 3 weekends) ?

I have both standard mounts in (standard being non AT mounts)...and yeah its loud when you take off...like from 1k to 1500k it sounds really wierd....but then smooths out completely by 2k rpm...honestly I barely even notice the idle except when its just started, and still has the fast idle...once its warmed up, its barely noticable to me...but the take off "growl" has yet to go away, although I don't really mind it...

it doesn't bother me as much because i know nothings wrong (i'm the one that went under the car and put everything in), but i'm sure my dad would freak. if you aren't ready for it, the sound really resembles some hardcore grinding.
