Well, there I was sitting at a stop light minding my own business and I reach up to change songs on the CD player, and BAM! Somebody ******* hits me, and they were driving a Silverado...going like 15 too. I filed a police report, and I think we are gonna stay outta insurance, we ended up knowing the girls dad AND the cop's dad too. Hm, small world. Now, I'm not being a puss, nor am i going to say anything but my neck actually hurts a little bit..no joke. I'll keep it to myself though, nothing a little Ibuprofen won't take care of. Any idea how much a new bumper is gonna run me? It's gotta 12 inch split in it.(bang)

you are going to regret not doing anything in a year or so, when the problems start to come...hopefully you will be ok but you NEVER know, and it will be too late to do s*** by then.

if your neck is hurting you need to goto a hospital get it checked out, make them pay any medical bills cause they can be very expensive

ok, and yes, like jeff said, get it checked out now, early diagnosis saves alot of trouble...no need to find out in a year that you have an agravated neck injury, caused by whiplash or something

you're looking at about $250 for the bumper, and another $100 or so to get it painted. Bring somewhere with a garantee.. not another friend in the family, cuz they seem to like to hurt you

If you need a new rebar in the rear, that'll be even more outta their pocket.

cuz you guys don't have health care, get it checked out by a specialist - make them pay those bills out of their pocket before you fix your car. If the doc says you gotta be on pills for the rest of your life or go for surgery, then you/they will probably want the insurance to deal with that bill instead of coming out of their pocket. (but lets hope it doesn't come to that)

I just got my bumper/hatch replaced after being rearended by a '91 explorer. $5,000 damage. Rear bumper is $217 another $120 to paint from the dealer. And as far as the pain goes go to the doctor, i didnt hurt till like 4-5 days later then i felt my back siffen up. I didn't want to get the person in trouble as well since i worked with the guy that hit me. But he understood that it doesn't hurt the person that hit you just the insurance co.

As far as the whole "whip lash" thing goes, you should get checked out. My cousin was rear ended at a stop light by someone doing around 10 or 15mph, her neck started hurting the next day. Anyways, she got checked out and she ended up having a fractured vertabrea(sp). Nothing REALLY serious/major, but it could have gotten really bad if she didn't get checked out. Well after a week or 2 in a neck brace she was ok...

So go get checked out!

get it checked out man, its been almost 2years now and my mom still feels the pain from the whip lash she got hit by a lexus IS, and police report filed it around 15-20mph. i know its lets of a hassle NOW to go through insurance, but you never know. good luck with everything make sure to get your neck checked out
