25 Cent Draft Nite! It'll Kill Ya.... Or Your P5

Hey guys....Just looking for a little sympathy. Went to a local nightclub the other night for a friends birthday and had the whole driver's side of my car kicked in. First of all you have to understand that I'm not the kind of person that goes out bar hopping all of the time.I'm 30 years old and lead a pretty quiet life, usually opting for a pub/lounge for pool with a couple of buds instead of a meat market (been there....done that) I purposely park my car away from everyone else's in order to avoid door dings. It just pisses me off that no matter what lengths you go to in order to avoid having your car damaged by inconsiderate bastards doesn't make the slightest difference. I wasn't in the bar for more than 2 hours! It was 25 cent draft night so I'm sure that didn't help with all those drunk kids running around
I talked to the owners of the club and they have video surveillance of all the parking lot's around the bar EXCEPT for the one I was parked in (of course...Murphy's law right?) The only good thing coming out of this is that this is a comprehensive claim so it won't affect my insurance rates.
BTW...
I'm a little concerned that the body shop is going to have problems making the car look like it did before the "incedent". Matching the seams and paint color, overspray. Has anyone been through something similar to this, and how did the bodywork turn out??

Any comments and/or sympathy would be apprectiated (bang)

Wow, that is some extensive damage. Are you sure you didn't piss anybody off. I've heard of people randomly punching/keying cars but not going all out like that. Make sure you find a good body shop or it will look like crap. Since it's comprehensive damage, make the body shop give a thorough estimate *wink,wink* and maybe you can get some mods out of it.

wtf man. That's not right. Someone needs maiming for vandalism like that. Dont worry about it looking just like brand new. If you go to a pretty reputable body shop or dealership, they should be able to make it like it never happened. It's a damn shame that it happened to you. No matter what kind of car it is... NO VEHICLE deserves that kind of disrespect.

I'm positive that I never pissed anyone off, like I mentioned...I purposely parked out in the back of the parking lot away from everyone...which in retrospect may not have been the best idea either but, even if I did piss someone off...I just bought this car 2 weeks ago and anyone that know's me with the exception of a few people haven't even seen it yet!! That's why this is so baffling....it's just senseless vandalism

That's just messed up! My only thought is parking away from everyone, some drunk was probably thinking you're some kind of snob buying an import, etc. But that's stupid logic...no reason to kick the crap out of someone's car.

For the record, I too will park as far from everyone else as possible...I hate inconsiderate door dings.

your going to need two new door skins thatll prob run you 1000 total (painted) then a new quarter panel and also you will need extensive body work on the rear panel all fixable, i think of a qoute right around 2500 for everything. none of that can be banged out and look right, its not strong enough the rear panels can be though.

Holy Fcuk!!! I had a bad experience too, I got a big scratch on the passenger door in some fcuking chinese place!!! I really wanna kill whoever did it. Are you gonna report this to the insurance??? People are jealous 'cause we all have the best looking car!! Sometimes I think we should keep our 5s out of those s*** places.

Thanks guys...I really appreciate it. Yes I will be going through insurance, it's a comprehensive claim so it won't affect my rates...thank god! I've already taken it in for estimates and they're coming back around $3000 CDN (good guesswork SenorCorwin ) They said that they should be able to fix the panels instead of re-skinning them. Obviously I'll settle for nothing less than perfect when it comes back...I guess we'll see what happens!
