Checked my alignment.......

Went to a friend/racing buddies this past weekend and did an alignment check. The results were BAD.
All around 1 degree POSITIVE (very bad) camber on each wheel and 3/16in toe in (also very bad) in the front.
This is killing me. I keep seeing these posts about guys have negative camber issues and they are complaining. What I wouldn't do to take their suspension parts and see if it fixed my problem.
I was told the bottom end bolts (crash bolts) off of a 2000ES would fit the MP3 a little small to help add negative camber, is that true? If not it looks like I'm going to have to try FSP next year. Now I know why I am having such horrible tire problems and running a lot higher pressures than anyone else to keep the rollover down. :(
Anybody else have any ideas? The toe is easy, but the camber is just shredding tires.

CJstringer,
I just got the MP3 aligned. My service tech is supposed to be checking on the "crash bolts" as well. My current alignment is:

Front
left right
-0.8 -0.8 degrees camber
.09" .09" Toe
2.0 1.6 degrees caster

Rear
-1.2 -1.2 degrees camber
0.10" 0.08" Toe

I am going to try this for awhile. It is only a little more negitive camber then when it was originally delivered. It seems to react a little quicker and not understeer quite as much on the street. I'll let you know more after our autocross on the 12th.

The alignment seems to have made a little difference but it was not a big change from how the car was orginally setup. We will run it this way a little while and see what it is like on some other courses before we monkey with it again.

Did you just have a local shop do the alignment or the dealer? I'm considering payin to get it done because the tire wear for my race tires is getting horrible and it's going to be expensive.
My next event is Feb. 23. I'll see what happens then. I'm gonna try cranking it all out before that event. I have a title to defend now!

Hey guys need some feedback...

What do you guys think of these settings for camber, castor, toe, SAI etc...got it done from Curreys Motorsport out in Sterling, with laser alignment. Thanks.

Hmm it would be nice to be able to get -1.5 front and -0.5 rear....
I think in the Spring I will get mine checked out.

The slightly positive toe 0.22 is going to help the car turn in a little better. Rowan is right about trying to get -1.5 camber in the front. Sometimes this can be done with the stock bolts on the struts, loosening them, trying to force the tops of the tires in towards the car, and then tightening them back up.

Check around for a different shop that knows a little more about autox alignments.

How much do the ASA JS1 rims weigh? What's their offset? Did you get them from Tire Rack?

Q: The .22 positive toe, is that in or out? Out will help turn in. Toe in just shreds tires and makes you work more.

R: The ASAs are 19.5 lbs each (the stock rims are 24.5/ea). The offset is 45 I believe, which keeps them within 5mm of the factory 50mm offset. As long as you are within 1/4 in of factory, you are still able to run stock class. I bought them from tire rack and confirmed everything I needed before buying them. They are sweet. I wanted lighter wheels, but I also wanted to be able to afford my house payment, so I went with the ASAs and they seemed to work well. I won my region in class and overall for the 2002 season and in a second region took third in class. Not a bad rookie year.
The ASAs are also pretty good looking. You might check out my sig. I think I snapped a few pics at some of the events I had them on later in the season.
