Cutout on Apex DP

I'm wanting to know if a cutout would fit infront of the cat on an apex down pipe w/cat.
The attached pic is highlighting where I'm wanting to get the cutout welded in. The cutout I plan on using is from Summit... (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=SUM-G4821&N=120)
I don't have measurements on either... that's why I'm asking you guys, thanks!

Also does Apex make a 3" with high flow cat?

There's plenty of room, I don't see why a cutout won't fit.

No, apex only makes 2.5" catted and catless, and 3" catless.

I was going to do this, but with an electric one so I could uncork it at anytime.

I've since decided to try to stop modding and save money cause I just test drove and STi.

I have an electric one and it's awesome. PM me any questions you may have about it. Just remember that when you open it and it's before the cat you it won't matter with an eliminator you'll get the wonderful check engine light. In the wonderful state of Virginia we now have emissions testing ever two years so I got mine done right before I put mine on.
