Pontiac shoud kill their designers

whoa whoa here, lets stop the GM bashing. Lutz has only just now gotten around to cleaning up chevy/pontiac, and the cars under his reign haven't even come out yet. The GTO you can't even say was done right, because they had 18 months (yes, a year and a half) to get an LS1 to fit in a Holden (which IS OWNED BY GM), test the car, and make it legal for America. The 2005 GTO is gonna be sick. Dual exhausts, crisper lines, and..... the hood scoop is back! WOOT! And the Bonneville is still based on the older ones. Why didn't you pick up a picture of the new Solstice or G6? They have far superior interiors to that, and the Caddy's are on par with the Lexuses and Acuras.

Edit: Heres some pics to prove it. From left to right - G6, GTO, and Solstice

That's the CTS-V Caddy. I like.

But as far as interiors, they may look nice and all, it's the bad plastics that they use.

I agree, the G6 and the other new Pontiacs have a much better interior. I just don't understand why it took so long! It's almost like Pontiac WANTED to have crappy interiors that people made fun of, maybe thinking they were being "quirky" or cool or something.

The fact remains they are trying to sell the GXP for $35k sticker with THAT interior.

ever priced a northstar motor? theres ur $35k sticker price.

the only thing i have against GM is there interior quality, the interior on my dad's 2002 $45k corvette wasnt any better than in my 1991 $15k Z28 (actually liked the 91 Z interior better).

Also why the hell are people saying the GTo doesnt live up to the old GTO's???? Its a 350hp LS1 M6 or A4 RWD car, its basically a C5 vette shoved into a pontiac body, the body is understated, which is exactly what the first gto was, a family car gone muscle car which made for a decent sleeper until the name GTO was out in the open and people knew what it was.

saturn = s***
cadillac = good cars but wayyyyy over priced
GMC = really nice trucks (would def take one over a ford)
pontiac = they made the GTO and the WS6, i cant complain
chevrolet = C6 and SS, so once again cant complain
buick = the regal gs is a really nice car for the money
oldsmobile = yeah these were s*** i'll give u that

whats up with the 3foot steering wheel in the GTO? i havent seen a steering wheel that big since i used to work on dumptrucks=).

the wheel on the GTO looks normal to me, but that green on the dash and the console would piss me off when driving at night, the green "cruise" light is bad enough in my protege, all bright and distracting, i love how soothing the red lit interior is in the Pro

Let's import a car from Australia, don't give it any legacy styling queues, cut its' balls off, and call it a GTO! Or....let's make an Impalla SS, but make if FWD and V6, but paint it black and it'll sell goddam it....or let's take a car that used to rock the pavement and make it into the car everyone will want to drive to and from the grocery store - go Malibu..........or, let's make Oldsmobile Alero's and slap a few with 442 decals and call it a "442" edition, but not expect anyone still alive to know what a REAL 442 is.....

Yah!....good job there Bob'o - you deserve that raise...

I'm just waiting for GM mediocrity to seep into Saab....

The TL is nice, but then again, WTF was honda thinking.... TL, TSX, both FWD! Come on!
TSX, FWD makes sense, but about the TL, I am the first one to concur. It has way too many ponies for a FWD which results in understeering on a curve with your foot on the gas.

here's the interior for the C6 corvette. They said they designed the car around customer complaints about the C5 and a good number were about the interior so they spent a lot of time trying to improve the look and feel of it to make the car a world wide competitor. I say its at the very least a step in the right direction.
