those cars are very decent looking. i like them. especially the one in the b/w pic
 
mmmmm....black and white pic is of a Mazda Cosmos Sport (wow) , not Mazda's first car but the first mass produced rotory powerd car. Mazda used them for rallys (wrc) in the late 60's and early 70's.
 
It was the Mazda Como 100 s (s for sport). It was nearly as fast as the current miata and ws the first mass produced rotary (as M Pro 5 stated). It was recieved well and perfomed very well in racing. Very Hard to find. I saw Atkins rotary with one. Check out the brochure pic! Good link

A wierd tid bit I learned a while back at Master Sales training was Mazda used to have the triple diamond logo 10+ years before mitsu got ahold of it. Mazda should bash them with a campaign on that, ha ha . I need to find a pic of ....
 
I already removed it, go to triplezoom.com its there somewhere. I googled it with Mazda history logo. I am still looking for the actual logo.
 
found these the names of the files contain the year they began using them. Still cannot find the trple diamond though.
