Okay, now what did I mess up?

I just noticed this about a week ago.. My HVAC dials don't turn all the way.. Like, the heat doesn't turn all the way clockwise as it's supposed to, and the vent selection won't go all the way to defrost.. Picture attached with the dials as far as they will go.. I thought maybe I didn't hook something up right when I put my interior back together after I painted it, but I checked it yesterday and it seemed fine.. The plastic parts that the long wires clip onto behind the glovebox and under the driver's side dash just don't want to move any farther so the knob gets stuck in that position..

Does the defrost still work?? By the way, I like the Laser Blue Interior. Is it colour matched or just very close in colour?

Very close, but not exact. It's Plasti-Kote Anodizit.

Yeah, it still works.. but it's just wierd that they won't go back..

i had this same problem when i installed my stereo -- the cable in the back was binding some how -- Not sure if this helps or if its the same problem -- but thought id share --:)

also wanna make sure that the clip is also holding the wire!
i would take a pic buts its 330am here and just got off of work!

yeah sometimes it jams on me for a sec, then i leave it alone, then try it again and it works fine.. go figure..

digression: hey LAPISBlue... just curious.. how come you ALWAYS end each statement with a "!" ? you're a very excited fellow.. (boom07)

A/C control knobs

Just make sure that the wires are going through the most direct route possible to the clips. It seems that maybe you didn't put them back through the same places they were in. This would take up some slack in the wire, taking away from the length used to turn the knobs.
Also, check where you re-attached the black outer part of the wire to the clips, make sure it's in the same spot. Try moving back a little, see if that helps.
