lookin good!
Meguiars = lasts like s***
Zaino = Smooth as butta, and last a LONG LONG Time.
As for the Protection from wax comment. WEll, most liquid waxes these days, includng nxt, is synthetic, has some minor abbrasives for cleaning purposes, and are more dangerous to your paint. Pure Carnuba is the best for protection, but it last like s***. Zaino contains no abbrasives, no synthetics, and protects your car just fine. This is a comment that's hard to prove though. Each have their own opinion here. To me, the stuff goes on, beads water like crazy, makes it harder to scratch car as it's so damn smooth, but my winter to come will be the best test.
People get lost in the time spent on zaino'ing, and it's because they see it as 3 hours of hard work. I spent at least 3 times more time waxing my car using the mothers 3 step, or the meguiars. NXT being the exception as it's supposed to be as a one step does all ( you should still clay however as it's the best thing you can do before any wax). Mothers, I'd pre-wax/clay, use the sealer and glaze, and then carnuba. I'd spend anywhere from 5-7 hours total, non stop no breaks barely, and afterwards my arms were dead tired as was my back, and I must of used 12 buffing towels that I had to throw away afterwards due to being full with left over wax. Then, for the next 2-3 weeks, I'd still be taking off white residue that didn't show before. It was a royal pita.
Zaino. 1st time around you do have to clay. Then add 3-4 drops of zfx into 1 oz of z2 or z5. Already has a little eye dropper thing, already has mixing bottles for you. While that's curing for 5 mins, get the towels and s***.
Apply 1 coat, do entire car at once. Trim, bumpers, plastic anything. Doesn't matter. DO EVERYTHING. Unlike most waxes, you do not have to be concerned with staining trim. Takes about 15 mins to do entire car with one coat. It's like applying pledge to your coffe table. No stress, no strength or preassure needed. Wipes on wet.
Then, I go inside, play some Xbox for 30 mins ( don't need to do this but it's been cold here so I let it sit a while). Then come out, buff of the very little amount of residue which is so easy you can do with the tip of your finger, or just let the weight of the towel take it off. another 15 mins. Then spray with their Z6 detailer ( seems like water in a bottle like any other quick detailer) for a nicer shine. Don't need to, but recommended. Another whopping 5 mins work.
Then apply another coat if I want.
Yes, it takes time. But most of it is just waiting and not hard buffing like other s*** waxes. I was bored last weekend, did 3 coats of z2 in one afternoon. Never broke a sweat. Even painted the bathroom, and redid the bath tub that evening. I just wasn't tired at all. After a day of mothers, I couldn't move, and was sore for 2 days later.
I am curious to see NXT myself ( on someone else's car). Cheap alternative from what I have been told. CAn't beat the price, but it has it's disadvantages. You will have to apply it monthly. Zaino, you do not. But Zaino is so easy, you might just do it as a stress reliever as I do.
For the record, NXT is supposed to be easy as well. Can't say I know, it's still not up here yet.
I think I'm becoming a Zaino pusher here
can't help it. I do not like to spend all day doing a car, only for it to last 3-4 weeks and have to repeat it all again. Zaino was meant for people like me. Best on Black/silver cars too.
s100 is another good wax. Harley wax. Wolfgang and the twins are good as well.
