Look what I got on my SRI after an oil change!

University Mazda in Gainesville, Florida, put this ******* sticker on my polished SRI! I had an oil change a few weeks ago there, and I just went to check my oil, and POW! There it was, like a sore thumb. "This car may be equipped with specialty parts or equipment. To ensure you receive the proper parts, please call (the idiots) at Gainesville Mazda". I have attached a scan of the 3 by 5 sticker those assclowns slapped on my intake.

I peeled it off, and it left the sticky s*** on the intake. I had to use acetone to remove it. So give them a chance to explain why the hell they did it, and give them a chance before posting this, I called up the dealer to hear their side of the store. I was expecting a "sorry", or "new guy problem", but no. I got "Dave", the "Service Manager". He said he puts the decals on all the cars they work on, and offered to remove the sticky s***. Whoop Dee Doo! I argued with him as to why they put it on my intake. He again said he puts them on all the cars, and never had a complaint, and will continue to do so.

So if you take your car to University Mazda for anything, they will put stickers on non Mazda parts, that will look hideous, and piss you off.

LOL actually its illegal with out your permission unless you SIGNED the paper saying they could

because putting a sticker on your car and replacing your SRI with a stock one again is in no way diffrent, you are screwing with someones car without their permission,

that could be written into the form u sign when tehy check the car in.. kinda like when i worked at jiffy lube how we did s*** like that. -=\

I just got off the phone with Mazdausa. I filed a complaint on your suggestion, and that is all they can do. Each dealer is independantly owned and operated. I am never going back to them. I did not even buy my 2 Mazdas there. I got mine at Sullivan Watts in Ocala, an hour away. I should have known they would screw up my car, they got raided by the FBI a few months back for being crooks. All the heads of sales, and some sales monkeys got arrested.

They were a really good dealer to go to before. Now they ****** with my car, never going back. Fuckers.

dude i think u need too chill. i bought my car brand new and it CAME with that sticker

Your car came with a polished short ram intake with that sticker on it? wow....

I am just pissed off that they put the decal on a non-factory part. There are other places they could have put the sticker. But all wrinkled up on my aftermarket intake is uncool.

Yeah, check the paperwork fine print on the form that you signed to. There may be a clause on there that allows them to do that; by signing it, you basically would allow them to.

Otherwise, give 'em hell.

Alright, maybe I'm just getting old, but I really wouldn't give 2 s**** if somebody put a little sticker on my car. Take it off, goof off, done. I've got more important things to worry about.

am I the only one who thinks calling Mazda to complain about a sticker and identifying myself to Mazda that I modified my car was not the greatest idea? Remove said sticker and use some goof-off or oops and let it be. They prolly put in on the intake b/c the plastics under your hood were still too non-stick b/c of the armour-all or similar stuff you use to keep the platics clean? Who cares, its just a sticker?

Guess I am with DooMer here... getting too old to give to Sh!ts about something like this. If they had tacked it on with spot weld, then yeah... be pissed.

The only reason I took it there was that I have 2 years free service. now I am going to do it myself, and just keep track of receipts.

I really do not know how old you have to be to not care about someone putting s*** on your car you did not ask for, and no paperwork signed authorizing such a thing. I am 30. I suppose if someone stuck a TypeR sticker on your intake or other part you put on, you would be upset too. The fact there are so many other places to put it, that the moron put it on a part not even Mazda installed is upsetting.

Those who do not have a problem with the sticker, let me know. I can mail it to you to put on your intake. :)
