As best as I can tell. I've chased out the grounds but I have not had time to double check all of the wiring versus a diagram. I've never had the alarm click before so thats why I'm leaning that way. Has anyone removed one of these factory ones?
Hornsfan. Yes I've tried that. I've tried holding it while turning the key, clicking it repeatedly, a single press, nothing. BTW I forgot to thank you for your replies to my LSD thread
So after several hours this week of going from just a block in the engine bay I've installed another trans, put the new cylinder head on and replaced the timing. Got everything hooked up (I believe correctly) hooked up the batt and no alarm going off. This is odd because this car has always been...
I thought the MSP trannies were suppossed to be stronger that the Regular protege trans? This car is stock. I've done a couple of appearance mods and a cone filter but thats it. Cool as soon as I have time I'm going to start this. I miss my MSP
Cool I'm torn between putting a head on my parts car since the engine is sludged up (previous owner didn't believe in oil changes and it caused the cams to lock up.) and trying the ES trans in my MSP.
Alright so I think I've got a broken diff but I'm not 100% sure. My girlfriend was driving the car and went to pull away from a light and got about a hundred yards and the car revved up and stopped moving. I went down there and towed it home. If I rev and dump the clutch it will rock a little...
Thanks Stealth. That was what I needed. I only have about three hours from start to finish to do this so I don't need to be fighting trying to break hardware loose that doesn't need to come off. It is just the manifold gasket I am replaceing not ny of the pipe gaskets.
Alrighty then. So it can be done from above. Excellent. Won't be doing this for a couple days but wanted to make sure I had everything I needed together. I'm hoping I can just unbolt the mani pull it back a touch and slip the gaskets in and out. Anything I'm missing?
Alright so I've got a blown exhaust gasket that I need to change, my only problem is, how do I get to the lower 3 bolts? I'm considering cutting a socket down so I can slip it in there with a u-joint but what is the right way? Been running searches but I can't find anything on it
