Matte =/= flat. You are thinking of a flat finish. To the OP, I think matte would look awesome on this car, as the posted pictures demonstrate, but a flat finish would look terrible imo.

There are a few differences, I believe 08.5's have white needles on the dash, along with the shiny piano black trim on the interior, along with alcantara inserts on the GT. I also believe that 08.5's had different colors available.

Thanks for the comments, so far I have installed an AEM intake, and I have my springs, I just need to order a camber kit to go along with them, then I will probably throw on some rpf1's as long as I can sell some stuff from the old car.

Yep, wheels and suspension coming soon as well if I can sell the wheels from my past car.

It's at a course down here in San Diego I actually just ordered an aem intake, we'll see how it treats me. I will probably be ordering some hotchkis swaybars soon.

Hey guys, just picked up a 2008 true red GT yesterday, and coming from a Passat, this car has amazing pickup. Very exciting car to drive, and I know that I will burn all my money on this thing.
