    Which cylinder is #1?

Which first? Closest to the belts or the other side? None of my Google or MF searches answered my question.

    Which cylinder is #1?

I searched but couldn't find which cylinder is #1 on our 06 M5. Anyone know? I have a cylinder 1 misfire code and want to swap out the plug and maybe the coil, but am unsure of how Mazda numbers the cylinders. Thanks.

    Painted Valence- Durable?

I really like the painted rear valence pics I've seen but am wondering about long-term durability. I don't wanna do it if it is going to look like crap in six months. Anyone have long term durability reports? What paint works best (preferably a matte or textured black)?

How good are ebay short shifters ?

Just installed one So far, so good... I downloaded the TWM install manual which helped a lot. Pretty easy installation and it works great so far. I also went to a urethane shifter bushing which made a huge difference in shifting precision. The ebay shifter does fit the stock knob too.

    Drowned P5 Breathes Again

Plug for Liberty Mutual Liberty Mutual covered everything, no questions asked. I think I was helped by the fact that they don't have their own adjuster where I live and used a contracted adjuster instead. Looking at the next upgrade now. I picked up a single front Illumina strut (brand new)...

    Short Shifter

On the cheap I just installed a cheap Ebay short shifter on my P5 and it went pretty well. Install was pretty straight forward and everything went together reasonably well. I probably shoulda ponied up for a name brand, but am happy so far. It works great, especially in tandem with the...

    Drowned P5 Breathes Again

You might remember me as the retard that bought a P5 and killed it a week later by driving it through a creek crossing and sucking cold WATER into where cold AIR is supposed to go. Well, insurance came through with a replacement motor and the shop helped me out by doing a bunch of other stuff...

Bought it, drove a week, killed it

Update The insurance company is gonna pay, despite the CAI. I'm kinda surprised, but I'll take it. My mechanic has ordered a motor with 85k on it from a broker he uses in GA, and it will come with a 6 month warranty. He told me that he'll do anything I want while he's in there and charge the...

Bought it, drove a week, killed it

Well... It may have been a little deeper in the middle of the crossing. And I had to hit it with some speed to make it through, ya know?

Bought it, drove a week, killed it

Lift Kit I was originally thinking about lowering the car, but now I wanna jack it up with a lift kit! Lesson learned. I actually considered parking the car before the crossing, but decided I'd be too lazy to carry my beer fro the car up to the campsite after riding the bike all day. Kinda...

Bought it, drove a week, killed it

Some Pics of the Drowning See...it wasn't THAT deep. My identity has been obscured to protect the innocent. Is a little water bad for your exhaust? Luckily it looks like insurance is gonna cover the new motor, MAF sensor...

Bought it, drove a week, killed it

Drop in pretty easy? I've been looking at prices on parts that might be in trouble and they aren't cheap. I'm thinking (depending on how bad things are) that I might be better off sending Protege Garage $999 for a complete motor and putting it in myself. I've never tackled a job that big...

Bought it, drove a week, killed it

Wow You guys are so much more understanding than my wife! My mechanic is gonna look at it tomorrow and give me a better idea of what I'm dealing with. I'll keep you posted.
