Astonishing find! Front Sway Bar Links

Semi-resurrecting this thread to say I just ordered a pair of the Moog end links (K80104) for my 2000 Protege. And yes, yes -- I know that if I were still on stock suspension, they wouldn't work. But I'm on Tokico Blues and Eibach Pro-Kit springs so no worries. :D Anyhoo, I wanted to let...

    cf hood problem :/

If I'd realized this thread had been made, I would've introduced myself here in the first place. But anyhoo .. .. hi! I'm the original owner of this hood (from brand spankin' new in 2005 through the death of my MSP in 2009) and maybe I can help you out by explaining the adjustments I had to...

HALP! Nasty engine noises, need help diagnosing.

Just wanted to give an update. It was the timing belt tensioner falling apart -- good call! I replaced the whole timing belt kit (timing belt, tensioner, pulleys, etc) along with the water pump. Car is back to being its usual happy self. Thanks for the help!!

HALP! Nasty engine noises, need help diagnosing.

2000 Mazda Protege, 1.8L, approximately 74K miles My boyfriend drove the car to work last night and got about two blocks from his work's parking garage when the engine started making a racket. I met him in the parking garage at the end of his shift so we could have a listen to the ruckus...

Anyone in NC with a titanium MSP?

Yep, what he said. I'm glad to know how the hood is doing, but it'd be pretty awesome to find out how the car is doing too!

Anyone in NC with a titanium MSP?

I just ran a CARFAX on my (former) MSP, and found out that the current owner lives somewhere around Seven Springs in North Carolina. Just curious to see if he/she is on the forums .. cause if so, I can offer a lot of background info on the car, and it'd be great to hear how my baby is doing! :)

    Motor mounts?

^^ The front mount is the part number I'm looking for.

    Motor mounts?

^^ I was considering that, but the car is 12 years old and has seen plenty of snow .. so I'm sure the stock mount itself, not just the stock insert but the metal too, is in pretty bad shape. So I'd like to get a whole new mount. Can anyone verify the part number for a stock '00 Protege motor...

    Motor mounts?

Just wanted to see what kind of aftermarket motor mounts people are running in the 'old school' Proteges. Found out today that the front mount in my 2000 1.8L is shot, so I'm wondering if there are any aftermarket options that would be good. I ran some pretty stiff ones in my MSP back in the...

WTB: Short shifter for 2000 Protege

As stated in title, looking for a short shifter for my 2000 Protege ES. Car I just got still has the stock one and it's waaaaaay too tall for my tastes! I'll take any of the well-known kits -- TWM, B&M, Kartboy, Megan Racing, etc. Thanks!

    Short shifter for 2000 Protege?

Does anyone know if the TWM or B&M or Kartboy or any of the quality short shifter kits will fit a 2000 Protege? The Protege I just inherited from my dad has the stock shifter, and it's preposterously tall and I really just can't deal with it. But I'm not sure what options are out there any more...

    Single DIN pocket options?

Bump for this thread cause it looks like you were right! I thought it was a double DIN but I was saying that from memory .. and clearly, my memory is lacking, because after removing the stock stuff, I'm left with this: I'm assuming that thin plastic piece running horizontally across the...
