That's interesting. Over here in the US, the 1st gen CX-5 got projector low beams, but with regular incandescent bulbs (same as high beam). I replaced the bulbs in the lows in our 2014 with aftermarket LEDs - much brighter and whiter. I don't know if you could swap with US-style headlamp...
I had heard that because carwashes recycle water, it's a BAD thing to use one when roads have been salted - they concentrate the salt content of the water and actually inject MORE salt into the undercarriage.
Not sure if that's true or not. Anyone have any facts?
Thanks for trying, but this would not cause the symptoms reported. Plus, replacing the blower would be a last case scenario.
See above. Not the same symptoms.
You might expect that (I would've too), but not actually how it works given my own experience (see prev reply).
No one has noted that the 2014 is a LIGHTER car than the 2025/2nd gen. Thus the 2.5NA in the 2014 is faster than the NA 2025, and the turbo makes up for that (plus a bit more).
It could well be that the video wiring from the camera is reversed. See:

The forum is US-owned, and probably 80% or-so of the members are US-based too (at a guess), but we have people from all over the world posting here incl Auzzies, South Americans, Europeans, Eastern Europeans, etc, etc.
Not sure what's available in the UK, so a bit difficult to answer. I have the Mazda rubber mats in my cars and they're great. Others have Weathertech (but expensive and UK is a ?). There are other brands too (I forget what), but you'll see if you search the forums for "all weather mats".
No, I understand your decision, it was @devisssss' statement that you should replace the whole thing just because of a mirror glass issue that I couldn't grasp.
