You are incorrect. I just went outside and confirmed on our (US) 2019 CX-5, the CX-5 most definitely DOES have active shutters behind the lower grill.

How could that be? When a compression test is done, the valves are closed, and the stem/seals are blocked.

No, just 2 heaters, the third thing (rounded outline) is a temperature-sensing thermistor. I'm not sure where that's located, but it may be on the bottom cushion/element, in which case it would be dangerous to disconnect that bottom element! All in all, this is a very bad idea. It could...

From my wiring diagrams, it looks like the 2 panels are hard-wired in parallel. No separate connectors. Sorry.
