get you a coolant pressure tester or take it to a shop and have them do that and usually you can spot the leak once the system is pressurized. Hope this helps.

you could try an oversize screw to hold the clip in place or maybe fabricate some kind of hold device. Same thing happened to my car and I bought a new headlight from mazda. $200 dollars :(
