no need for hard acceleration on these vehicles, but not having to put chains on in the winter snow is priceless. also the awd handling in slippery conditions is much better

ios6 has been causing a lot of issues with bluetooth connections. not just these vehicles, but a lot of other vehicle manufacturers and aftermarket as well.
sound processors like jl audio, audio control, or alpine all require signal to be accessed after the oem amp. they want to see speaker signals, not low level signals.
it doesnt really matter what the max volume is, just about every radio gives the optimum sound at 3/4 max volume. but bose is not that good. also it s a 2ohm system. every aftermarket speaker is 4 ohm, so you will 1) lose power because of the ohm difference and 2) underpower the speaker which...
just cut them. make sure to leave about an inch on the speaker side so you can reconnect later if you want. but most car audio shops cut them and either solder or butt connect an extension on them. dont worry about it so much.
there is no point in trying to access the amp for repair. it usually costs about $300 or more for it. also you will be out of a radio for a couple of weeks as well. if you replace it, be prepared to spend a lot more.
but to answer your question, the amp is located in the passenger side quarter...
as a car audio shop owner, my personnal recommendation is odyssey or optima yellow tops. also if you leave the vehicle running (or the cables hooked up to a charger) you can change the battery without losing any saved info
streaming audio through bluetooth will generally not allow you to see that info. usually only the audio streams, not the data.
