Actually, you normally don't need to be registered with the SCCA, nor do you need a prepped car. There's plenty of people autocrossing bone stock p5's. You should try autoxing sometime, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

If you didn't plug the first hole on the j-pipe, the excess noise is probably from the huge hole in your exhaust. There's a bolt on the stock pipe near the same place that you transfer over. ~brian
